Something not pointed out in this video: If you go to Performance Settings and turn on Advanced Colored Lighting - blocks, torches, portals, etc. will glow their actual color instead of just white. Nether Portals will glow purple, soul torches will glow blue, lava will glow orange, all that good stuff. Having this on makes Complimentary look so much better.

Another REALLY cool shader setting for complimentary shaders reimagined is pixel shadows, which it's really up to you if you like it, but it makes the lighting feel like it should in Minecraft, use 8x8 as it gives the nicest, it's also one less weight on your performance, it's like being paid to accept a cookie

If anyone is wondering why the water doesnt look realistic and wavy as it looks at the start of the video or in other vids he has uploaded using this shader its cus he has the water material style set to Unbound instead of Default. This change creates the ripple effect under water using the waves on the surface.

I know that it may ruin the content part of the video, but on the top right corner of the shader settings there is an export and import button, up and down buttons respectively, that produces a txt file so someone else can download and import it very easily instead of changing each setting one by one. As I said it ruins the content from the video but the video can still serve as a showcase for the settings individually and not as a follow along video.

Great video, You make an error in your atmospheric color settings. Although you do move them to the right location, you keep saying ONE POINT 60 (or something similar) when you mean ZERO point 60. If people follow what you SAY but arent watching, it makes for a beautiful Purple world. (also, I find dropping the green a fraction on the sky color makes a huge difference and feels a bit more natural).

This is a very helpful video, thanks! Never fully understood all of the settings in the shader pack till now haha. The sun on my server is coming in very bright and hot (the sky around it and the blocks it hits during sunrise are totally washed out). Any idea how to lower that? AHA! I couldn't figure out why my sky was still so pale. Rewatching through the video you say to change the atmosphere intensity multiplier to 1.90, but you set it to .90. I personally use Fabirc Launcher with Sodium and Iris. I highly recommend switching off Optifine as your game runs much worse compared to Sodium anyways!

@@demonjoeTV Oh, really? I knew it could be Sodium, but I had the impression you used Optifine, cuz you're able to zoom in with a single button. I run Optifine on Forge and I'm not sure I wanna switch to Fabric... Really lost at this point. Hopefully I'll find a way to have Sodium & Iris with Forge. 🤷‍♂

Don't use OptiFine its pretty bad compared to what we have nowadays. Use Fabric with Sodium and Iris for shaders

if you are using the same version of the shader is the same. in older version you have less options. for this settings i used complementary reimagined 5.2.2 + EuphoriaPatches 1.3.2

Can you just download them and when you run the fabric version of minecraft you can put them in the mod file of mc? Fresh Animations would go into your Resource Pack Folder, but you'd need to also put the Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features mods in your mod folder

Absolutely, you can run resource packs with shaders and have zero problems

Just put the required mods EMF and ETF in your mods folder. These are needed for Fresh Animations. In the future I would use a separate launcher such as Prism; it will make your life much easier.

the shaders is in diferent folder, the shaders isnt a resource pack. If your launcher not have the integration, you need to install in the launcher fabric for Iris or optifine

Barebones have a texture pack for 1.21, you need 4 texture pack: bare bones 1.21, bare bones x eating animation 1.21.1 and barebones x fresh animations 1.9.2 and fresh animations. I already tested in 1.21.1
