yes it is but it isnt it doesnt have a jump drive and actually adds efficiency to the ship and isnt just a mode of further and faster transport it does everthing the other ring doesnt basically

I know I'm a bit late, but: the ring adds cargo capacity and the ability to generate oxygen and power for the fighter. Unlike the hyperspace ring, it cannot do any jumps (not possible in vanilla small ships). But yes, it was supposed to be reminiscent of the Star Wars hyperspace ring.

Great and entertaining as usual, might I suggest that the gauntlet has different versions for the different sizes of ship that run them. It seems a little unfair that a fighter would run the same one as a large ship.
