I'm wondering about that seem on the upper heal-catch you mentioned. That seems to be a potential hot-spot.

I don’t get any hot spots and that’s after many miles of hiking and rucking and daily use

I've had two pairs of Mackalls, a half size apart and both gave me blisters on the heel. Both times I was doing two hr. rucks with 50#. This is just my two cents. @@redbeard_outdoors

I don't wear this shoe anymore. Twice now they have given me bisters after 2hr. rucks with 50#. Not worth it. The upper heel catch materials needs an upgrade.@@redbeard_outdoors

Got a pair of the MacKall's to try out for this weekends 10 miler. Been a huge Garmont rucker for the last year or so thanks to Gritty, but I need to change up the gear a bit to reduce the wear and tear on the the Tibialis Anterior tendon.

That’s awesome man! You’ll love those shoes. The Mackalls are my favorite of the lineup

What do you think about wearing the Mackall for through hiking by them PCT or AT? What about for technical hikes around Mount Saint Helens?

Have you had any issues with the protective TPU film peeling around the Mackalls? I have received two pair and it’s happened to both of them.

Oh man that’s crazy! I haven’t had any issues on my pairs. I’ve run one of them since before the launch through tons of terrain and no issues.
