Thank you for the review. I have the 40# and 60# simple sandbags in the mail. Glad to know they will not leak

I just want to do cleans, thrusters , and burpees before I run a shooting drill. I’m thinking the simple will work for me at the range

Great video. I have a 40# and 60# simple sandbag as well as an 80# Sandbag 2.0. All great. I am curious how to use the extra straps that came with the simple bags. The website does say what they’re for but not how to attach them. I can rig them up no problem but I like to know how they are intended to be used. Specifically how to attach them through the slot on the webbing(I’m assuming that’s where they attach) Any help is appreciated!
@Rucking2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, loop the strap through the webbing and then back through itself to chinch it. The idea is that you can hold on to the handles when the ruck is on your shoulders. Prevents you from having to "reach up" to hold on to the sandbag. Make sense?

Great review! I'm curious, for the 2.0, does the filler bag fill the sandbag shell end to end? I had the 40lbs 1.0 a few years ago and didn't like how the 40lbs filler bag slid inside the sandbag shell during training. I had a 60lbs filler bag that perfectly fit inside the 40lbs shell
@Rucking2 жыл бұрын
There is some "space" in there, but it is generally full. That's part of what makes a sandbag good. The movement and shifting of the filler makes the load unstable. Of course, you don't want tons of extra material. I'd say these fillers (I have 40 and 60) both fit nicely in the shell. If you don't like the sliding around, the simple sandbag may be a better bet. I really liked it.

The 2.0 version of the 40 is actually 2 inches shorter than the 1.0 so there is a little less empty space than before. I use 60 lb filler bags in my three 1.0 40 lb sandbags. I don’t think the 60 lb filler bag can fit in my 2.0 40 lb sandbag unless I empty it like 10-15%

If you want it to feel more full, throw a pool noodle in there to softly take up some space and stabilize the bag.

new to rucking and Love your videos, Great Information for sure. I have purchased the 4.0 20L ruck and plates. looking to cut down on cost I was thinking that if I purchase a 2.0 40lbs sandbag and then get a 10 and 20 lbs simple sand bag and just switch them out inside the 40lb 2.0 outer shell. so i would have a variety of weight to play with. thoughts???

Ha. I’m a little confused on all the math. Generally speaking, I don’t think the 10 and 20 pound simple sandbag are the best bang for the buck. I’d be more inclined to pick up a 40 or 60 and just not fill them all the way up. If I could only have one sandbag, it would be the 60 pounder.

Do any of the sandbags fit inside the 20L Rucker, or just the 45# Sand Jerry?

What size sandbag would you recommend for a newbie to sandbag training? Im looking at the simple sandbag 60# and 80# .

60# has always been my favorite.

Is the sandbag 2.0 safe for dragging ? Probably not on concrete but maybe ok on grass? THX!!

Personally, I'd have no concerns dragging it on dirt and grass.

Just starting out. Would it be better to buy one 60lb sandbag 2.0 or two or three simple sandbags?
@Rucking2 жыл бұрын
Guess it depends on what you think you'll be doing with them. The advantage of the standard bag is the versatility of all the places you can grab it. That aids in more variety for movements you can do with it. But, you can't be the price point of the 2.0 and it is an amazing bag. So, if variety of weight is more important, then 2.0 might be the better choice so you can grab some different sizes.

Just got the simple 40. What are the loose bonus straps for?
@Rucking2 жыл бұрын
Attach them to the handles for long carries on your shoulders. Here’s how to attach: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKTEYqGpgaplbrs

You can also attach both the straps together and then to the sandbag and use them for pulling the sandbag with sprints. Great leg workout.
