What a joke. They wear bullet resistant vest, while carrying OC spray, an ASP, & cuffs. But no gun. As an armed guard, I'm not working at this mall!

About almost a year ago, the mall of America had multiple active shootings .the job is a little to risky to be unarmed theses days.

@@CertifiedSecurityGuard All guard should be armed! When that show first came out they had whit hats & looked like the good humor dude. That show was good for a laugh. They guard took their job so seriously. But id you got in their face or gave them attitude. They would fall like a house of cards.

With the recent shooting that took place at my city’s mall, I’m all for unarmed guards wearing vests. It’s not the guard’s fault that the client and company won’t allow said guard to be armed. Malls tend to dislike armed guards on their premises. I carry, but if I have a level one or two officer that wants to wear a vest I’ll gladly tell them to wear one because at the end of the day, I want my guards, ALL guards regardless of the company they work for to go home at the end of their shift. A criminal won’t care if a guard is vested up or not, they care about how they can get away with breaking whatever law they are breaking without getting caught.

@@cpsspatrol You don't have control over the clients choice to have unarmed security. You do have control over if you take the job. Me I'll pass!

@@Soulcritic you’re exactly right, and I wouldn’t put an unarmed guard in a dangerous area, unless they are vested up.
