@@ChrisMutchJones So I ordered my stand about 3 weeks from sweetwater but they are special order and as a result I haven’t received mine yet. Looking forward to receiving the stand!

Nice Review, trying to decide between this one and the foldable Omega from K & M. I did see trolley wheels on their website today that fit several of their stands-so you are in luck with that!! I do agree about the keyboard drawer underneath could be highly beneficial as well!

Yes I saw the wheels too! And they have taken out a table attachment now as well which is pretty cool.

I guys it depends on if you need the stand to be portable or not. I love the height adjustment on the omega-E! Thanks for watching.

Nice video. Thanks. I'm struggling with the desk setup for midi keyboard in a small space.

This is a great board for those with a small space!

did they ever add some of the updates you suggested?

I see you’re using a headphone holder clamped to the leg of the stand. Is that the K-M 16080? I have the Onega 18810, the non-electric version of yours. I was thinking of ordering it but was unsure if it would fit. Their website says it fits on tubing with a max circumference of 30mm but was unable to find a spec of the Omega. I suspect it is because it looks like it, but I just want to make sure before ordering. Thanks!
@ChrisMutchJones2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! I’d think it would fit the normal omega!

@@ChrisMutchJones Another question: with all three tiers in place, what distance does that put it from the wall? In other words, how far from the wall to the front of the keyboard. I’m working in a small room. Thanks.

Thanks! Do you think the 1st platform is big enough to keep a beast like a Yamaha Montage 8?

Good review BUT those “video effects” (quickly changed views, rotating camera) makes me sick

Perhaps you should have purchased a Buso Audio desk with a sliding keyboard shelf rather than promoting a "freebie" from K and M which doesn't seem to really meet your needs. At the end of the day who wants a stand that moves up and down anyway? If you want to stand up, just move away and stand up somewhere and take a break. Playing and using a DAW standing just seems silly. This video just feels like a promotion video and not really as genuine as you have viewers believe.

Most people will be fine with what you describe, but I'm not the only one who suffers from conditions that force you to alter sitting/standing regularly in order to work unless you want to be in constant, excruciating pain. After decades of only sitting, then only standing because sitting was too painful, 5-7 days a week at mixing desks and keyboards for work, a stand like this - provided it doesn't have the "wobbles" - is a godsend. IT's not "silly" for people who do this all day every day and have spinal or serious back conditions The sliding keyboard shelf desks are great designs if your keyboard is lightweight, and your use is primarily composing, not so great for classical technique on very heavy weighted keyboards. I do wish the video had gone more in-depth as to how stable this is. there are a couple of far less expensive alternatives (that also don't have any deep reviews available), and the extra $$$ for the K&M is indeed significant. My concern is that they all seem to be using standard electric frames used in office sit-stand desks, which are not stable enough for hard playing at all.

Great point brook! I’m sorry I didn’t include that in my video! While I haven’t played any Jerry lee Lewis tunes on the stand, I have given it a fair bashing and it has never given any indication of wobbling! Perhaps if you had a board extended out to the limit then that might be a bit wobbly...I’m thinking of doing a 6 months later style recap on this anyway so if I do, I’ll be sure to include a wobble test!
