We started using these 1 year ago. we tie 8lb to the swivel and then 4lb below to the jig. What is great is when yo get snagged the lighter line breaks and you still have your bobber. I pre tie several leaders so I can just tie right back on and I'm ready to go. I now use the better bobbers and have not lost one this year. Its a game changer. Thanks for the great video.

Very nice video! I have that same setup. I also use the Northland bobbers. They have brass fittings also.

Great job Scott, that is the best set up I have found too and would be even better as you have shown with the new weight and swivel that you shared with us. Stay safe and have a Happy New Year. Fred

Those type of weights are very popular on the west coast for steelhead fishing. Fisherman’s Marine is dealer out there.

That is a great weight. If you ever hook a small shad on, you will be glad you have a swivel in your rig...

How long do you like on your leader below the weight? Do you use braid to the weight and a fluoro leader to the hook?
@g3sportsman18 күн бұрын
I use main line 8lb braid. Leader is 6lb fluorocarbon about 18” usually works well.

i started using 20lb fly line backing to tie the stops with. Works much better for me over anything else Ive tried.

May have to try that. Thx
