Hey Guys! Have you hear of Rarotonga before? And if you’ve been here what’s your favourite thing to do in Raro? 😊🌺
@nathanfitzgerald66513 жыл бұрын
Whenever I visited Raro, my two favorite activities have been either snorkeling in the coral lagoons, or renting a bicycle and doing lots of colorful nature photography around the island's glaring, intense jungle scenery.

I visited the Cook Islands in late September 2022 for my birthday and I stayed out there for 12 nights and flew back home in early October 2022. I love both Rarotonga and Aitutaki. I did go on the Captain Tama’s Lagoon Cruizes a couple of days before I flew back home and snorkelled during that cruise with everyone else. I went hiking up to the Needle mountain or Te Rua Manga the week before that with a group through Pa’s Cross Island Hike where Bruce Pa’s nephew was the guide for the group. I visited Aitutaki for the day twice while I out in Rarotonga and when I was visiting Aitutaki I was on the Vaka Cruise twice and snorkelled out in the beautiful ocean surrounding Aitutaki’s gorgeous motus and I snorkelled near the beach of One Foot Island. In Rarotonga I was staying in the Titikaveka area and I stayed in Makayla Palms for the first ten nights and then I stayed in the Little Polynesian Resort for the last two nights. I loved the local Cook Islanders and I even enjoyed meeting and chatting with all the other different tourists who were usually from New Zealand, Australia or even from the UK. I love going to the Cook Islands so much because it’s such a stunningly beautiful country with such warm and lovely local citizens. I can’t wait to go back there again. That trip was literally the best trip of my life so far and I had the best birthday I’ve ever had in my life while I was out there. I can die a happy woman now that I’ve been out to the Cook Islands I swear to you.

Yo Lana! that's awesome didn't know you had a family home in Raro! how handy, you could stay there for long term and it would be alllll g. Would totally stay longer if we could find reasonably priced accommodation. So lucky yall saw a turtle wooooow the snorkeling is just amazing on that turquoise water what an amazing place. So jelly!
@LanaTiare3 жыл бұрын
Yes! It’s super nice to have it, usually it’s rented out a lot but since COVID we’ve had barely any people renting there. I must say I was very tempted to stay longer but I needed to come back home and work 😅 I loved the snorkelling there. Next time I want to do the turtle tour. We just didn’t get many nice weather days. Hope you guys are doing well!! ☺️☺️

What a beautiful island! I thought I'd missed something since you are in NZ & the Cook Islands and there's no mention of Carlos, but I went back through the videos of the past 6 months, and there's nothing. ?

A beautiful island indeed 😊 Yes it’s been quite busy for me since being back home. But I’m going to make a lil video for next week to show my plans for NZ and where I am now 😁

There is nothing like island life, some good music, the sea, food, and smiles all over. Seriously, the water is so incredible, look at those fish, so colorful and nice. Lieles would be on the cage for the majority of the time hahaha
@LanaTiare3 жыл бұрын
Island life is the best 🥰 We had such a great day that day! Haha love it, I was on the cage for a bit at the beginning, but once I saw the fish I was off 😆🤩🐠

I know what you mean about the water; I've spent so much time snorkeling in Rarotonga's Muri lagoon....the water is so crystal-clear it's like swimming through liquid glass.

@@LanaTiare My two favorite snorkel spots are Muri and Fruits-of-Rarotonga because they have different advantages. Muri is warmer, calmer and clearer but FoR has gigantic, crazy-looking coral reefs all over the place the size of sofas. So it's an even trade-off.

I love Raro and I've been there several times over the past couple of decades. I've always had a deep fascination with Pacific island paradises and I've visited quite a few of them. The stunningly beautiful Raro is the perfect island because it's large enough to have a lot to see and do - yet still small enough that it's quick & easy to get around the whole island, making it the most perfect vacation spot. I've been visiting Hawaii, Tahiti and the Cook Islands so many times, it's my continuous travel joke that I'm secretly a Maori hiding inside a white man's physical body, lolol! And of course you Maoris reading this know I mean that as an honest compliment.
@LanaTiare3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nathan, Oh that’s awesome to hear! I agree Raro really is a great size but small enough to get around the island fast. Sounds like you’ve seen quite a bit of the Pacific Islands. I’m still yet to visit Tahiti and Hawaii but they’re on my list for sure. Haha love it! A Maori at heart 😁
@nathanfitzgerald66513 жыл бұрын
Yes ma'am, you really need to visit Hawaiian and Tahitian islands, they have a lot of unique, amazing-crazy-looking features on each of their islands which you won't soon forget. I've always had a long-time fascination with Pacific islands in various different ways. Heheh, I've spent so much time in Pacific island paradises, like I said it's my long-term joke that I'm secretly a Maori hiding inside a white man's physical body. You can't go wrong with some of these Hawaiian and Tahitian paradises, my goodness they're a visual feast!
