Thank you for doing this video. I really glad at least someone did this. I actually did play lego sonic and enjoyed it a lot. I still own the set to this date. My favorite pat of the campaign of lego sonic was the cutscene of where sonic remembers Labyrinth Zone. I guess the developers knew how much people struggled with that zone. The reaction of sonic's face made me laugh the first time I saw it.

I absolutely LOVED this game and the Sonic level pack. Having The Simpsons, Doctor Who and Sonic the Hedgehog in one game is like my entire childhood just smashing into each other and creating a charming package. What sealed it for me was the fact that Sonic interacted with BOTH the Doctor and Homer and even Bart, making a reference to that one episode of the simpsons where Sonic tells Bart to steal Bonestorm.

LEGO Dimensions was an amazing game that I love so much! The simple fact that Homer Simpson and Sonic the Hedgehog are both playable and can freely explore each other's and any other of the 28 other franchises featured is just magical.

life is so strange. as soon as i find that i still own all my dimensions figures shot away in a cupboard last week, i find that this game and toys to life as a whole seem to be having a bit of a renascence in the way that theres a lot of video content being made for them nowadays. In any case, its good to know that videos like yours here exist to remind people about them, despite toys to life as a genre most likely not returning any time soon. im off now to stare proudly at some dimensions packs i own that are worth quite a bit of money.

I got two when they came out, it was extraordinarily exciting as a LEGO fan to see Sonic. I even made a video where I made a custom painted Sonic Minifigure when the trailer dropped, good times.

Everytime I think of Lego, I think of Dimensions. I was so excited as a kid when I saw the trailer that Sonic was being added as someone who already had the game. When it came out, I was a Sonic main. I miss it everyday.

Ngl I kinda want a full on sonic Lego game, imagine getting to play as every sonic character from the games and maybe from the IDW comics (sega hates Archie charactersso it probably wouldn’t happen), maybe even play as characters from the movie(s), getting to fly all the vehicles, the extreme gear, the karts from the racing transformed game, and of course, the egg mobile and the tornado, and there many variants, getting visit all the locations as characters that would never be there, like getting to go on the egg carrier as mighty or ray, or going to little planet as blaze, I can’t be the only one who wants this

I’m not even kidding when I say the Sonic Pack in LEGO Dimensions is genuinely a lot of fun. It single handedly sold me on a LEGO Sonic game and I hope we get one in the future. It has the story Generations wishes it had (or at least the story I wish Gens had lol), great use of nostalgia and in-jokes, awesome cutscene and in-game animation, Marble Zone and Labyrinth Zone in 3D, Mecha Sonic boss fight, fun stages, legitimately fun 3D Sonic gameplay based on speed and platforming, etc. I would almost put this up there with Unleashed and LW (two games I think are really damn good) if it were just a few hours longer which we would get if we got a full LEGO Sonic game. Honestly, I hope the second Sonic movie gets a LEGO game that adapts the stories of both films in one. That would be so awesome. I doubt it, but I think this is one of the only times a licensed Sonic title has the potential to be fantastic. It’s not perfect of course, this pack has some bugs, the main levels aren’t built for speed in a lot of cases, it’s main story is pretty short, etc. But for my money, as a DLC campaign for a massive crossover game, this is a great time and makes a case for a potential future gameplay style for Sonic. Hmmm… a big open hub world area where you can run around really fast, platform, and there is combat and collectibles… where have I heard that before…? *coughFrontierscough*

Sonic was one of my mains. If it wasnt his ample abilities list, it was his speed. He was not only the literal fastest character, also that his speed was useful in some time trials that required vehicles

Sonic Dimensions really is the best Sonic game to have come out in the 2010s. The only argument I have against your complaint on the gameplay is that if you have Lego Dimensions, you are likely used to playing in Lego's style. I played Sonic Dimensions before I owned any Sonic games, so it was essentially my first Sonic experience in recent memory and I had no problems with the controls at all. I assume you only had some troubles with it because you primarily play Sonic games.

Yeah it's not perfect, but still pretty enjoyable and You can tell that the people working on it where certainly huge sonic fans. The moments with Omochao and Knuckles throwing away Shadows gun still make me laugh XD

I had Lego Dimensions and the Sonic pack, but I couldn't make a Nintendo account because my Gamepad screen didn't work correctly so I was unfortunately never able play the level pack or play in his world. But I did enjoy Sonic's playstyle in freeplay.

Unfortunately, I played this on the Wii U, and it _definitely_ suffered for that. Some animations were desynced with the audio due to slowdown, several areas in the Sonic world chugged, and performance generally suffered at times. It was still fun, though.

Say what you want about the Toys to Life genre, but I love Lego Dimensions (partly since I'm a Lego collector and fan, but also because it's the best Toys to Life game out there IMO) and Sonic Dimensions is easily one of my favourite 3D Sonic games ever. Hopefully with the Lego Ideas Sonic Mania set coming out, Lego and Sega will continue doing things with the Sonic license.

Last night I tried so hard to get this damn sonic pack work but I had to do so many things to set. ( I was planning this on a 360 and have do idea how online stuff Works on that) I First I had to dig up the portal, connected the 360 to the internet , update LEGO dimensions which I had no idea how to and had no indication on how to do it eventually i found the why out of pure luck and after half an hour I go in to the updated dimensions game and it now tells me that I have to have Xbox live to access the Store!!!! This to several hours and I was pissed so I just went to bed

LEGO dimensions was highly underrated. HOWEVER the second rollout of franchises was a DRASTIC misstep. It needed further story, and instead they just released even more expensive toy sets with truncated movies. The franchises were also a lot weaker-while there’s some great stuff like Sonic, there’s also the Teen Titans Go and Powerpuff Girls reboot which is directly counter to the nostalgia they were quite trying to appeal to. My belief is that this mishandling, alongside so little original content exploiting the crossover component that was its biggest draw the first time around, is what doomed the game. It’s a damn shame as there’s been no other showcase of pure geekitude before or since, and I hope one day the game is revived somehow.

Traveller's Tales LEGO Videogames has perfected the puzzle 3D-platformer videogame genre. I played TT LEGO Games since childhood and I cannot see a better way to do a puzzle 3D-platformer then these games. I'd love Traveller's Tales, The LEGO Group & SEGA/Sonic Team to just make a LEGO Sonic game. LEGO Dimensions isn't enough.
