I dont think that that Bmw key is that oldlooking... yes years of wear, scratches may make it look worn and old... then just buy a new casing from ebay for it and switch the electronics over to the new fob case. and youll have a brand new looking key. I have a almost fully optioned 09 Z4 35i for almost 7 years now. all im missing is cd changer and front headlights that turn with the steering. I even have garage door opener in my rear view mirror. Heated seats were standard on these if i remember correctly. but heated steering wheel wasnt and it is a great option to have. There are a few suggestions: Keyless access is one option i recommend. it makes living with the car easier.. you can operate the roof from your keyfob... and keyless optioned cars key has a replaceable battery not a built in rechargeable one... so as cars get older you inevitably run into battery issues... so keyless car key you just swap a new cr2032 tablet battery in it... without keyless you have to replace the built in battery module that is alot more work. probably have to solder and so on. Extended leather option looks great and does lift the cabin. but when cars age, leather shrinks... and glue fails... and that leather on top of the dash start coming loose... There are ways to fix this but... If you look to keep ypur car for a long time and have minimal issues... i would recommend to skip extended leather dash.... Also with extended leather you get leather covered sunshades... and if you break a mirror in them...then that leather makes you pay dearly for the replacement sunshade... Screen and professional hifi audio are great... sports seats are must... lighting package and storage package are nice to have... Wind deflector definately a must... to get one later used from ebay is not cheap. Other than that... adaptive susptension was great but not that reliable and new struts cost alot. I switched to KW V3 suspension on mine. And on from that... I would say biggest thing is what engine and gearbox you choose. N54 3l twinturbo is powerful mod friendly but needs some maintenace work now and then... and with it you get 7speed DCT from the M3 so thats great aswell.... It depends on what you like to do with the car...

I have exactly the same colours .with same options. 14 plate 28i. Owned it 5 years and love it. Only difference is a decal z4 removed on the boot and a stubby aerial instead of the standard whippy. 😊👍

Good video, I have the same car colour and interior (3l version). I believe that the gap you described as a 'knee vent' is to hold the OEM cup holders.

Have you seen the amber light that is above the white light behind the seats? You need to turn the headlights on for it to work. Turn the light switch to side lights and it should come on
