I’ve lived my whole life thinking I’m dumb and incapable of simple things . Became a pothead and let it take over every aspect of my life . Thanks to people like jocko, David goggins and such have driven me to be clean from ALL drugs for 3 years and I’m now a carpenters apprentice building things that I never thought I could . Thank you for changing my life

Jocko's fearsome demeanor belies one of the finest military minds I've ever encountered. I've had the privilege of serving in six different SOF units in my Army-Air Force career; both as grunt and pilot. And I've simply never encountered one individual who pulls it all together as does this remarkable individual. The cancerous 'wokeness' that eats at our warrior bones will never let this happen, but his book 'Discipline Equals Freedom' should be mandatory reading everywhere from our NCO academies to our service academies.

I was put into an actual leadership position 8 months ago. I've been listening to Jocko for the same period of time via books, podcasts and youtube alike. I would be nowhere close to where I am today without Jocko Willink. He is not just an experienced Navy Seal Commander he is a remarkable human being like so many before him that can clearly take complex situations and/or human behavior and make clear sense of how to address and or influence people to become more. Thank you Jocko for just being you, you have changed my life forever!

I've been on the path a week over a month. At that momth mark I was down over 20 lbs. 4am work outs. Work then more work outs followed up with a diet that consists of almsot zero carbs and sugar while maintaining a deficient calorie intake. I'm holding the line and by the end of the year for the first time in my adult life ill be under 200 lbs. No excuses just hard work. I'm 25 almost 26. I still have tons of time to do something. I won't look back. Jocko has helped shape my mindset and therefore helped change my life. Forever grateful, I am.

Luke, I just wanna say this just to fix your perception a little bit. I don't really think he will say himself that he is a natural born leader. He might be ordinary growing up, but as he entered military, that was where he started truly developing as a leader. But nonetheless, he is inspiring. I agree with what you said. I just happened to understand his humbleness, that I am pretty sure he won't say he is a natural born leader.

Thumbs down? Really? What's wrong with you? I found this when I really needed it. His words mirror JBP. Get up. Shoulder your load. Step fwd. Move with a purpose. Do the best you can. Be the best man or woman you can. Do your best no matter what. If we all did that. So many of this world's problems would just stop... But people express themselves in outward overbearing ways because it's so much easier than taking a good hard look at yourself and fixing that. Fix yourself. Clean your room. Get to the gym. Work hard. Make your own space work right. Then slowly work on the space around you. Don't scream about how to fix the world when you can't even make your own bed. Don't tell me how to run a business when your straight out of your liberal arts education and never worked a shift. Let alone a double or 24hrs straight. You need to fix yourself first. Thank you jocko...

Imagine that. A world where no excuses were made. Oh I can't get a job. Bull shit. You just don't want to do what's needed. Oh I'm a single mum with 4 kids to different dads. Your problem. Get up and get to work. Oh I have this problem. Good. Step up. I can't do that... Slap. Move...

No more welfare. No more assistance for the unworthy. I live In a town full of it. One of the most beautiful places in the world. Dragged down and ruined by the lazy and unwilling. What you said about the patches in the beginning is so important to me. I've worked under so many petty, fearful and incompetent leaders in my life and none of them had the stones to just drop it when it comes to certain things. Instead, they ruin the culture that makes a team strong out of a perverse and cowardly sense of self preservation. The first thing that I would have expected based on prior experience is that you would have just punished those men horribly. That's not what you did though, you did the hard thing, the good thing and that's something that I think people need to learn about leadership and it's something that I respect you absolutely for. It's not about you, it's about them and if some petty bullshit that bruised your ego a little bit is enough to make you forget that then you are not a leader or you at least have a lot to learn.

He reminds me a lot like my dad, except my dad wants nothing to do with me. However it helps me become a better person to prove him wrong that, I can do it! And I'm going to. I have it set in my mind that I'm going to get a job I like, it's going to kick off. I have it set in my mind that failure is going to happen, but good will come out of it. Which it has, my husband left me in March. And I had no advice to run to but watched jrocko and he gets to the point that I needed. I grew up to fast, my mind thinks differently. And I followed his advice, and my husband eventually came home. When I feel discouraged I watch his videos and they do the trick. Everyday is a challenge, but also an experience to overcome my fears... my biggest fear is failure. My dad told me for years I would live in a cardboard box, and I wouldn't mound to much. I wished him a happy father's day to clear the ice and he said check myself into a morge. Those words are hard, but with extra help of KZbin helps me improve as a better person. Despite in March when my husband left, I did get a house that month. I worked hard 💪 I also accomplished the most important thing. I got to see myself and my past and I decided to DO SOMETHING WITH MY EXCUSES and I feel more motivated then ever to do GOOD and EMPOWER myself as an late 20s adult. Because I KNOW I CAN DO IT!
