Just adding in case someone sees this and doesnt have the staff - you can play this with Exhilarating aspect. I stumbled into it by getting vulnerability chances all over the skill tree, the eagle evade charges, and boots that recharge evade on attack. I put exhilarating on amulet for a bit extra chance, and I have 27.5% lucky hit on char sheet. With that together I can spam evade quite a lot on single target, just a filler attack here or there if my guy stops moving and its back off to the races. Touch of death, centipede ult, and pestilent swarm proc all seem to help with the resets and keep me flying.

you can even play it without, get boots with evade charges or just talent the acceleration passive for 3 extra evades, it's not as fast or powerful but I cleared upto torment 2 without either aspect or staff with ease

I managed to make this build work at lv 48. Heres how: > hold position > hold Thunderspike basic button (use rapid aspect) > spam evade > win It has some delay until activate 3rd attack, but it works like a breeze. until u farm the itens

I literally found this on accident when I grabbed the class mechanic at lvl 19. Found that it did way more damage than quill volley was doing for me and leveled with this instead. It really came online when I got the staff though. That made a huge power spike. I'm glad you guys did a write up so I can have a more optimized way of doing paragon and passives!

I was JUST typing this up myself! I evaded up to something (after mostly using the Jaguar skill you cast to rush over to hit something instead of it) and everything died! I stuck some extra points in Acceleration (a word I used to misspell all the time and don't now, haha) and am looking forward to finding that unique! I also haven't tempered because my eagle one is still blue and I don't want to temper on some decently rolled gear until I have the better tier of it. No master working either and I'm still blowing through t2 pits in like 90 seconds

I was lucky enough to get the staff via gambling and had enough somewhat decent spare parts lying around so I tried the build. Even though I've just seen it in your video I could not believe it actually worked. I was T3 ready. Not decent enough to effectively farm on T3 but I could play it if I wanted to. After the switch I'm very smoothely right now pushing towards T4. Spiritwalker felt like the Monk all along but now we have a working OP dash monk again so yeah, thank Insnebob for creating it and you for showing it :) Edit: so halfway to 4 was the end for me. Curve getting rather steep and as I said just threw the build together with what I had. Still impressive how far you get with very few requirements. T2 speedfarm and T3 comfortable though not as fast.

While Sepazontec definitely unlocks a lot of power, you don't need it (or even the Exhilaration aspect) to get this build online. I leveled from 1-60 and cleared Pit 20 to get into Torment 1 with completely random legendaries and no tempering on any of my gear. The only tweaks you need to make are as follows: 1. Put 3 points into Acceleration so you have at least 4 evade charges. Having the boots which reduce evade cooldowns on attack is optional, but helps a lot. 2. Weave in Thunderspikes between evades, so that it can reset your evade cooldowns. An important note is that the 3rd hit which triggers the reset does not have to be part of a consecutive combo. You can Thunderspike, evade, Thunderspike, evade, and then Thunderspike again to reset one evade charge. Between the resets and natural cooldown on evade you can keep this loop going forever. This means that you need to use 2 buttons instead of just 1. I play on controller and have Thunderspike mapped to R1, which I just hold down while tapping the evade button. Obol gambling has not worked out for me thus far so I'll keep pushing up to Torment 2 and beyond without Sepazontec for now. Update: I got all the way to Torment 3 before finally getting my Sepazontec! (I guess I should stay away from gambling, my luck is horrendous).

Im using DS4Windows cause for some reason Blizzard won't allow me to play with my DS5 wireless, only plugged. That being said, do you how to config DS4Windows so I can press circle and it keep pressing it for me, so I can just hold circle and it keeps spamming evade ? I know that can be done but I can't find it (Oh and btw thanks for the tips I followed that and now Im playing thunder evade with no Unique Staff, no legendaries, nothing)

I made this work in the level 20s. -Get the boots that reduce evade cooldown on attack -Get the passives that give you more evade charges -Take all of the abilities that have "passive" and "active" effects -hold attack -evade after every other attack -profit

Yeah I dont know how I never heard about people using the eagle hall spirit. I read the description and it immediately clicked. Thunderspike basic with 2nd upgrade tier, acceleration maxed out and any boots that reduce cooldown of evade by attacking and you are set. You dont need that unique, but i can see how it does help immensely.

It was part of the rake build I was following and I noticed how hard it was hitting so I started building more into it and it hit harder than my ultimate. Glad people figured out how to maximize this because it's dumb and I love it.

1)You can get Sepazontec in Helltides also. 2) You don't NEED Sepazontec to achieve the same(or better) results if you stack Dodge on gear and roll Brilliance on gear with Spirit Feathers on rings and Staff(I use staff to for the Vulnerable damage)

It really isn’t that difficult to figure out how the build works in theory, the hard part is simply figuring out if it’ll actually be good. The class has a lot of things that sound good in theory but testing them to see if they actually work is where the time comes into play… blizzard had the option of just giving any legendary to whatever internal test character they wanted to try and this still got overlooked.

One thing I want to mention is your damage from the unyielding hit aspekt is caped at 1500 damage so not more than 5k Armor (but keep in mind you loose 1k Armor in Torment 4).

How do you get even close to 5k? I'm around 250 at torment3

You would need 4333,33333 Armor and you get a big chunk when you use the Aspect of Disobedience you get there only with 2340 Armor.

Sadly I'm on a controller without rapidfire, but if you're on PC and have a mouse with a scroll-wheel lock: just unlock it and bind dodge to mousewheel down/up and jam that fucker for good times.

There is a trick though. I learned. You have to hold down your shift button to jump for it to just always be up. If you don't hold shift he'll run out of eBay charges quickly.

Can confirm that you can get the staff from gambling but before you do put all your smoldering ash from your seasonal Journey into the chance to gain double drops from gambling. If you Max it out it goes to 40% and then one done. Just refund and put it back wherever you want it

I'm using evade on mousewheel up and down and both your and wudi's evade seems so much faster/smoother, is there some trick or setting I might be missing? I got the staff off of the first run of Duriel in T1. It really does make the build work. But the damage isn't fully there for me. I am missing the eagle tempering. As good as the build is, I feel like they should remove the staff from gambling and make it a boss drop only. A build this strong should be locked behind an end game boss kill. And hopefully they don't nerf it. It feels like a mix between the strafe DH and tempest rush monk from D3. Very fun and satisfying speed farming.

When you gamble, make sure to adjust your Seasons Blessings so u get 2 items potentially. LOL not joking, I gambled BOTH unique quarterstaffs off 1 gamble, gave me 1, and the 2nd "bonus" one procd and ended up being unique too xD lol.

I just bound evade to my mouse wheel and let it spin. It is stupidly overpowered, to the point that I WANT to play a different build to actually play the game, but I don't feel like I will be anywhere near the same level of speed to clear, so I will just default back to it. It is a bit of a weird conundrum to be in.

This is why I wish we had and Armory/loadouts 😢. Love my Quill Volley build for bosses, while this is perfect for helltides, under city, NM. Would be so nice to not have to redo everything if I wanted to switch back and forth. Might just lvl a 2nd SB. This will probably take over as my main build. Just tried it tonight and with gear that took me 15min to find (already had weapon, helm and boots), was clearing Pit 60 in 3-4 min and sleeping through T3 Helltides. Didn’t have to use any defensive abilities at all. Single target is annoying tho. I’m assuming this works with hold position?
