The BEST STEAK Restaurant In Funchal Madeira 🇵🇹

MADEIRA, PORTUGAL - This is the best steak in Madeira! I visit La Vaca Negra Madeira, an Argentinian Steakhouse in Funchal. Some of the best food you will find in Funchal. The food at La Vaca Negra Madeira is steeped Argentinian steak culture and cooked over charcoal. It serves giant steaks on Madeira island. The Argentinian steakhouse grill, which the steak is cooked on is traditionally called a Parrillada, and the grill master was working it all night, it was a pure joy to see and we got special access to film the grill. Not only that, the steaks are fantastic value. The steaks are massive "dino steaks", especially if you choose the mega t-bone or tomahawk steak, but the prices are so reasonable for the quality on offer.
All steaks come with sides, either baked potato or fries and the three house sauces.
We started with the homemade empanadas, another traditional Argentinian food before moving onto the steaks. They are made by a chef from Argentina, they are fantastic. It is a great Funchal restaurant and if you are looking for good Madeira food, you will not want to miss this steak restaurant. It is one of the best restaurants in Funchal for a reason.
The staff are super friendly and welcoming, but you do need to book. This place gets busy!

Once again thanks for the recommendation Joe. We were staying all inclusive but decided to treat ourselves to a meal out. This was the BEST STEAK we have ever tasted. We both had the ribeye cooked as suggested by the chef. The empanada to start was delicious too. As was the grilled pineapple to finish. Super value, fantastic food really friendly service too. Looking forward to going again.

Great video. I've been to Madeira twice and been to this place 4 times after a recommendation on the plane (although we probably would have tried it as we stayed close by)!!. Exceptional every single time and very friendly people. Will be back again October to have another go 🙂

You have to be aware of those wire brushes cleaning a grill because a wire filing can end up on your food. Which can get stuck in the throat. Thats a visit to the Hospital. I think a three step method is best. 1. Wire brush 2. Kitchen roll with a little oil 3. Inspect OR Just 2.

Well to be fair, I’m messing around with filming and taking shots, they aren’t eaten immediately. Also have to remember, it’s on the bone! That little end cap will cook differently to the middle and near bone! They know how to cook steaks, don’t worry about that, you’ll enjoy it
