I'm back with another video! This time i decided to tackle the stealth gameplay and after a loooot of testing and figuring out i came up with an extremely strong build - i hope you like it! 😎
The core of this build are silenced pistols and quickhacks, although pistols are mostly enough (they're op in stealth). I really wanted to make a comprehensive guide about stealth since there are only a few on youtube so enjoy! 😎
btw this is probably the last Cyberpunk guide, it takes me around 2 weeks of work to make a video like this so I'm reeeally tired of these 😂

There's actually 13 perk shards available these days; 10 in the base game, and 3 more in Phantom Liberty, one can be found in a truck directly above and ahead as you enter that massive underground parking garage as you first enter Dogtown (unreachable if you miss it and leave the area), one for sale at the stadium at the XBD vendors (that are actually the main game devs), and one behind some destructible boxes in Longshore Stacks, right behind Ronald PT when he moves there. Also yes Sonic Shock had the ability to stop later que hacks from causing trace removed as apparently it was a bug that it had it to begin with, but Memory Wipe will do the same thing at purple quality. Oh and swap your Sonic Shock for the legendary or iconic one (iconic quickhacks are no longer bugged btw, that was fixed in 2.1), then try uploading purple Memory Wipe (10 RAM), green Reboot Optics (2 RAM) then ending with iconic Sonic Shock (2 RAM), end result when uploaded like that is an untracable 14 RAM cost System Reset, will knock out anyone but bosses like cyberpsychos. Also, you should check out the Feen-X skeleton cybernetic that was added in 2.1, it vastly increases the RAM recovery when it drops low, I have had near 200 % RAM recovery in combat with that + RAM Upgrade. And you really should check out the Defenzikov and Kerenzikov Boost Systems, Defenzikov has high armor for low cost and will incease your Mitigation Chance to 90 % for 4 seconds after using Kerenzikov, and Mitigation Strength is pretty easy to get very high now (combine it with a Countershell which auto-fires every time you use Overclock and you have 100 % mitigation chance pretty much all the time) while Boost system makes that slowmo even better and removes all stamina cost while attacking, meaning you can use that air Kerenzikov perk and just spray away like absolute hell. As for your guns, try picking up the Psalm gun, it has 50 bullets in the mag now, and a equal chance to cause fire and so detonate contagion as Shingen, except it's much easier to get, it doesn't rely on the weird smart gun mechanics, and you can put a silencer on it, which means you can drop Contagion on a group of enemies, wait for it to spread, now just spray them with a silenced Psalm and blow them up, shooting them starts combat but Gag Order keeps the combat from alerting nearby enemies, even when the Contagion blows up, and starting combat ends the trace process as well 99 % of the time, with the rest of the enemies having no idea what's going on. As for silenced pistols, try getting a regular Nue sometime with two free mod slots and putting 2x PAX mods into it, each increases the damage out of combat by 20 %, which tends to get a regular Nue high enough that it can take out an elite enemy with two shots before Gag Order wears off. And for an end game weapon, do Rogue's ending as soon as you can so you can get Pride, it is by a very large margin the most damaging pistol in the game, with 100 % crit damage, highest headshot damage, and will deal bonus damage against elite enemies to the point they won't even feel like elites anymore. I always make sure to get through the MQ up until I can do Rogue's ending before I go to Dogtown, that way I have that, Prejudice (which is almost as good for assault rifles), and Ba Xing Xong for all of Phantom Liberty content. (Oh and the enemies that was spawning on the road is because something in your LO is removing the cars they are supposed to spawn in lol, they are supposed to spawn in 3 wraith cars that drive away from that location as you approach, but that's not happening for whatever reason, and so those wraiths don't have the time to get far enough away to despawn, hence why they are wandering down the hill.)

Are we sure the sonic shock thing was a bug and not glitched after 2.1? We know other bugs cdpr refuse to fix for a long time.

@@nothingness217 I had to look it up, and there's no mention of it on the patch notes, I saw on Reddit that someone mentioned it was confirmed as a bug by CDPR and was going to be fixed in the future, but I can't find such an official statement myself. If it was a bug and they were going to fix it back to how it was, you'd think they'd do it in 2.11, but it's the same still. Regardless, Epic quality Memory Wipe does the same thing as I said, for 6 RAM more, but with Overclock and all of the cybernetics that can provide RAM and faster recovery, that's not too bad, I still run stealth netrunners just fine.

@@Sacremas "Updated the description of the Sonic Shock quickhack so that it properly reflects the changes made to its behavior in 2.1." i think this confirms that sonic shock no longer hides quickhcaks. :(

one thing to know is that tier 5 memory wipe as high cost as it is works fantastically well with overclock AND it drops combat states ALSO it affects entire groups so you can upload reboot/memory wipe/sonic shock after the 1st enemy is knocked out you can follow up reboot optics/sonic shock repeatedly up to 5+ enemies if your fast. One other thing to consider taking the mancinella revolver and pair it with black mamba cyberware with nerve's of tungsten steel.... 20% extra damage on it AND insta head crits its the only silenced revolver in the game and it drops enemies in 1 hit essentially because of its high headshot multiplier you can get A LOT of usage out of it and distance bonuses as well this gun is almost as crazy as rogue's pistol if used correctly in a high cool setup. Also if you are investing into intelligence consider using cyberware malfunction and reboot optics alongside contagion AND overheat or psalm gun as the above user has stated you can blow up enemies pretty impressively with the setup. Reboot optics at tier 5 iconic nets you an extra 30% headshot/weakspot multiplier AND regen's your RAM also spreads to more enemies, cyberware malfunction is absolutely awesome with the tier 5 iconic quickhack giving you a whopping 15% more overall damage per stack and it can stack up to 8 times AND it disables enemies cyberware. ALSO consider swapping out memory boost for kerenzikov boost system it reduces stamina cost while kerenzikov is active AND reduces your own slow bullet time. Consider dropping shock absorber cyberware for microgenerator at least for revolver mancinella per reload your next shot will throw on an EMP blast on top of everything else which is nutty with revolvers. IF you wanna keep shock absorber ditch the smartlink you aren't using smart weapons and more RAM isn't crucial to overclock builds.

I sort of played this build recently, although my aim from the beginning was making a build centered around Sniper Rifles, which lack suppressors, Overwatch aside of course. Didnt have it yet, so I used Sonic Shock to disable the closest group of enemies and picked off isolated targets. Since they didn't know where the shot came from (deaf) and couldn't communicate with nearby gang members, it worked most of the time. Kinda neat, if a bit clunky. Other hacks included Cripple Movement and Reboot Optics when things got loud to still hit heads with Overheat and Reboot Optics to boost damage.

This is basically the build I've played in this game since day 1. When leveling once you get the Lexington and start to get close to epic materials it's GG. Overheat and contagion everyone and head shot them afterwards most things don't live a second lol

1 thing I noticed is that you don't need a Reflex Perk for being able to shoot during slides etc, if you got Kerenzikov installed. This Cyberware basically gives you this perk in addition to being able to slow time. I know it's a small thing, but it's always a 1 Perk point more, that you can put somewhere else :)

Early game I really like the combo of RAM Upgrade and Feen-X as the added RAM regeneration is also multiplied. Another cool combo is RAM Reallocator and Quantum Tuner: The RAM Reallocator restore 45% RAM if it drops below 20%, but it originally has a long cooldown. But with 20 Intelligence you already get -60% cooldown reduction on it. With the added cyberware cooldown reduction from the Cyborg skill and the Quantum Tuner the cooldown for the RAM Reallocator is already so low that the Quantum Tuner can restore it multiple times. If you don't want the RAM Reallocator getting the Quantum Tuner is still very good as it also works on Overclock-Mode. Basically the Quantum Tuner allows activating Overclock three times in a row before it goes into cooldown. The downside is that the Quantum Tuner restores its own cooldown only out of combat, but on a stealth build you are always out of combat.

I was thinking of trying a Netrunner build, my first 2 play throughs I did melee and throwing knife. Throwing knife was just insane. Was it easy focusing on Netrunner build for fresh start? What spells would you recommend early , or did you go between two skills like Cool/Intel and use stealth with it i.e. silencer etc..? just curious.

@@Lancer78xI tend to play quickhack only and don't have much experience with other stuff like throwing knives or any other weapon. Earlygame is quite hard for a netrunner as you don't have access to the higher tier quickhacks yet to do combos and your RAM is limited. Focus first on getting your Intelligence up as you need the skills, the queue feature and Overclock mode. Get cyberware that helps with quickhacks, RAM limit and RAM recovery.The most cost efficient quickhack is Overheat, so just put this on every enemy until you are out of RAM. When you unlock the queue feature you can stack multiple Overheats on the same enemy to take out elites. When the tracing starts check if you can take out everyone with quickhacks before the bar is full. If not just run away until tracing is cancelled, then return and continue taking out enemies from stealth. With Overclock mode in combination with the Biomonitor cyberware and MaxDoc or Bloodpump cyberware you can extend your RAM enough to clear most encounters in one go. Try to start Phantom Liberty early to get access to Dogtown cyberware. If you use the cyberware that gives 100% crit chance for quickhacks, a single Overheat can take out even elite enemies on very hard difficulty. Delay dealing with Cyberpsychos until you have Memory Wipe as you can use it to do a stealth takedown - this is the quickest and easiest way to deal with them. Since patch 2.1 memory wipe is the only quickhack that prevents tracing, so use the T4 version to do quickhacks without tracing. Once you unlock legendary quickhack you can do the combo T4 Memory Wipe + T2 Reboot Optics + T5 Sonic Shock to knockout enemies without triggering any tracing and which costs 10+2+2 0 14 RAM. On my channel I uploaded a demo of this combo a few days ago. The most cost efficient option for groups in endgame is setting up enemies with 3x Iconic Sonic Shock + T5/Iconic Memory Wipe (having Memory Wipe last in the queue reduces its cost by 50%), so thats 2+2+2+32/2 = 22 RAM. T5/Iconic Memory Wipe uploads to all enemies, so now you can take out any enemy with T2 Reboot Optics + Iconic Sonic Shock, which costs 2+2 = 4 RAM per enemy.

What about putting up like Ping to proc the 60% increase in damage for quickhacks early on, or you think its just more cost efficient to just spam overheat? I been using overheat myself. I'm playing on hardest difficulty because I've beat the game 3-4 times lol.. And at this point its not super challenging but I have not even played the expansion yet, so I wanted to start fresh and Netrunner is the only build type I've never played. What levels can you unlock the different rarity of Cyberdecks? and does it matter which model cyberdeck? I've never really used them and early on they all look about the same as far as what they offer. Thanks for tips man.

@@Lancer78xYes if this 60% extra damage achieves the kill then do it, if it does not check if 2x Overheat achives the kill. There is no perfect rule for this as enemies scale with your character level, so the results can be quite different. You unlock cyberdecks at ripperdocs the same levels as all other equipment - so T2 become available at level 10, T3 then at level 20, T4 at level 30 and T5 at level level 40. Although you can upgrade them at Ripperdocs, but I never did this and just bought the next tier once it became available. Iconic quickhacks start appearing at level 51+. Early on the Arasaka cyberdeck is quite good as the -2 RAM cost for Convert quickhacks is the first bonus that becomes available. Lategame the best cyberdeck for me is the Tetratronic Rippler as it adds +12 RAM and you can get 40% extra damage by queuing in a non-combat quickhack. A honorable mention is the NetWatch Netdriver for its -50% RAM cost on vehicle quickhacks. Car races become much more easy if you just hack your opponents with the "Emergency Brake" quickhack and car stealing jobs where you have to get rid of chasing enemies can be solved in an instant with the "Self-destruct" quickhack.

I see you're a man of culture as well, because of the sonic shock trace mod! in the first clip at least, I see ya hahaha honestly i like the idea of sonic shock not preventing trace but preventing from increasing it but right now its buggy in its implementation so I still use that mod. hope they fix it in the next so it stops increasing trace instantly while queueing and not after upload. That way it would have a use and so will memory wipe since you still will be traced. at the start when it prevented trace altogether it was too op with a sonic shock and overheat combo honestly. Also it would rock if they made it so that when you upload hacks through devices it wouldnt increase trace aswell or altogether prevent it even, that would make the netdriver deck faaar more useful than it is now. I still never used it once seriously. Also that way you could drive with your hacked motorcycle into a ncpd scan and relive the good old watch dogs 2 days of the past without getting you ass into danger. lovely content btw, keep it up boss!

Problem is that the Canto takes so damn long to get lol, and there's so little left of the main game by that point. You could rush it by doing only the bare minimum, especially with a Phantom Liberty start character. Bonus then is that you can brag to Rogue about taking out Maxtac when talking to her about finding Hellman, and later scare Hellman shitless when you inform him about your new passenger. Sam Bram did basic builds for every deck in the game, including the Canto, which works as a good starting point; kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqewppVnadWch68

You should also check out non-iconic weapons. I really like the Tamayura as a stealth pistol. The Tier 5++ version has 124 damage, 150% headshot multiplier, 25% armor penetration and you can fully mod it. I use the best Silencer/Scope on it and add two Pax-Mods for 40% extra damage outside of combat.

Tamayura is the best, but it's really hard to find though at good quality with no mods, a much more common Nue will do almost as good, and has a longer range.

@@SacremasOn my current playthrough I leveled mostly with main and side quests, then fixer gigs and saved all the NCPD events until the end when you are almost max level and all weapons can drop in T5++ quality. You get lots of weapons from all the enemies at NCPD events and I kept one T5++ version with optimal mod slots of all non-iconic weapons. Based on my findings I'm not sure if the Tamayura is actually rarer than the Nue ... it probably depends on what enemies you fight. As the Tamayura is an Arasaka pistol, its seems Arasaka troops drop it more often. So if you want a Tamayura clearing Arasaka Waterfront and the Arasaka Warehouse you visit with Takemura is probably a good way to obtain it.

​@@crazy-tommy In the last couple of playthroughs I have done the opposite, focusing on scanners, then saved the gigs for last, specifically so that those high value containers (the ones that always drops a schematic, a cybernetic, a weapon, mod, and a lot of money, there's maybe a dozen or so of these in the whole game) have a better chance of providing those overpowered super rare mods like "Kneel" (instant death on shotguns as long as you target the legs) or "Barbarian" (40 % more damage on blunt weapons against stunned or knocked down opponents) which are otherwise super hard to get. Do all of the police scanners first (except one in Watson with Maelstrom raiding a warehouse that has one of those containers) then the cyberpsychos, then organized crime (so the schematics drop in high quality, tbh much less of a priority these days you can only get one iconic from them), and then start Gigs, making sure I have at least 15 Body + Gorilla hands and 20 Tech so I can get through all doors when I do. I've had most guns in the game drop in 5++ with free slots, but for whatever reason Tamayura refuses to drop lol. I guess hitting those Arasaka locations a few times might be a better choice. I'd do it on my current playthrough except that I'm about to do Rogue's ending, so I can pick up Pride (and Prejudice), and Pride is so much better than ANY other gun in the game, weapon mods or not, that it would be pointless to look for one. TBH if it wasn't such a late-game gun that so few even get to play around with, that thing would be nerfed. 150 % headshot, 100 % crit damage, first shot on a reload is guaranteed crit, increased headshot damage (iirc +150 % more) when you are at 75 % or higher health, and increased headshot damage (+50 % IIRC) against Elite enemies.

quick FYI if you plan on running netrunning at all look into investing into a cogito lattice.... at tier 5++ you gain a whopping 250% armor buff while RAM is below 12 its far superior to the painducer and costs much less on cyberware capacity as mentioned from somebody else the defenzikov is great.... I would also recommend if your dashing around a lot to take nano-plating while it seems useless this proc's VERY FREQUENTLY while using the kerenzikov which adds extra survivability and further helps reduce damage from projectiles while its up. Feen-X instead is really nice as well. speed and mitigation is the best way to go doing it all the way means less on cyberware cost although again as ive mentioned and you ahve as well the mancinella is absolutely incredible for the stealth setup. ALL decent choices although again if netrunning stick with the lattice and optic cloak with defenzikov should keep the ante going especially in dropping enemies stealthily.

one more thing to add at least in as far as using overclock goes I would recommend ditching edgerunners and revamping your setup around more health for survivability... a higher health pool means more usage of RAM based abilities, less health means less usage of overclock if you are going into edgerunners perk your likely gonna wanna invest into more RAM seeing as how you are sacrificing so much more of your baseline health which means more overclock usage its why i recommended the mancinella because you can ditch the cockatrice eye piece and use a 100% crit headshot revolver guaranteed rogue's pride also works fantastically on the first shot as a headshot since its 100% crit however you have to reload after every single headshot to get any value out of it. there is so much variety in cyberware and as a netrunner... honestly edgerunners is way too risky as a netrunner you are already squishy enough as is AND overclock means dropping your health down to such low percentages that you risk getting killed you can work around less substance for more benefits you can definitely be super sneaky I would recommend 15 reflex and 15 tech rest into body for some extra survival and regen while moving will help A LOT for overclocking also look into investing into the top left line Queue Acceleration and Queue mastery the former adds an extra +1 to your RAM pool and allows up to 3 subsequent quickhacks running on enemies this makes the memory wipe/reboot optics/sonic shock even more versatile. The latter gives you a nice 15% overall damage boost while 4 quickhacks are being uploaded to an enemy in addition to that it makes the last quickhack ram cost significantly reduced by 50% Queue prioritization and queue hack_root are also great to help reduce costs on your quickhacks and increase upload speed on your first quickhack definitely worth investing into both left and middle lines for high intelligence. One other thing system collapse will also cost a grand total of 4 RAM if you subsequently and silently take enemies out one by one it stacks twice for 4 RAM and is very nice to use sadly the iconic version is still bugged on RAM cost for it.

The best pistol is by far pride for stealth by the way, the best stealth build should use a sandevistan

Recommended for a second playthrough, but just spawn the Pride pistol using the command console at level 40 if you don't feel like cheating too much 😅

Interesting you don't mention rogue's pistols "pride", which does insane damage and has guaranteed crits on the first round, or Pariah, which is a silenced tech pistol that does possibly the most damage out of any silenced gun in the game.

stealth builds really don't need much body/hp, you kill everyone before they even know you exist if played well. You could drop the int for body if you really want but its a weaker build imo.

​@ITTzSquishy I didn't have phantom liberty for a while and I'd say so yes. But honestly to make it even easier since u don't have as many perk points I would say just skip over quick hacking in general since u don't have that cyberware that can 1 shot with quickhacks. So I'd recommend using a sandevistan instead and spec heavy into cool and tech vs cool and intelligent like he's recommending. And as for reflexes or body you can put the rest of your attributes into either or. So it comes down to do you want better movement or more health? But for any stealth build especially just starting out cool and tech are the best 2 skills to max out

Sonic shock removal of entire trace progress negation was intentional. They changed the description to fit its new function, which means even if the original implementation was not intentional, keeping it active was.

yep, i recorded this line in the vid before 2.12 and was too lazy to change it after reading the patch notes but yes, it seems the initial sonic shock was bugged, then they fixed it but kept the same description, and in 2.12 they fixed the description. Sonic shock went a long way 😂
