I emptied the original Epson ink bottles, rinsed out all the bottles and caps with tepid water, let them air dry, then filled the Epson ink bottles with my Hiipoo Sublimation Ink. This way there is no need to squeeze(avoiding air getting into the tanks) and when the reservoir is full the ink flow will automatically stop. However, This is a nice fix by Hiipoo but I’m glad I kept the original Epson ink bottles.

Thank you. I have so many questions. I think I want to upgrade my printer. I have a basic Epson XP 330. The cartridges are very expensive. I noticed an artist’s video where she discussed randomly choosing to use the large refill bottles to fill her printer. She said it was working well. A printer, is so useful, in many occupations, including art. It’s is liberating to know I don’t have to be stuck using expensive ink cartridges. It seems that printer companies are listening to buyers concerns and are creating more practical printers. When I was more financially stable, I used an HP Printer, that had many more capabilities. I have trouble understanding why don't people just buy the Epson SureColor F170 which is a dedicated sublimation printer? This way you don't void your warranty and the ICC profile is already set, no worries about clogging and you don't have to worry about mirroring. The Epson sub ink in so vibrant! I live in Australia so the printer here is the F160 and we pay a lot more for it here but it is soooo worth it! I think in the States it is around $599.

Hello wondered if anyone could advise me. I have been sending my design off to a local printer and they send back some heat trasnfers for me to press at home, all good. I have bought a epson ecotank and have hippo sublimation ink. I am using Asub paper. I heat pressed the same design from the printers, and then printed the same at home to press on 100% accrylic to see difference. There print is almost excatly the same colous as my original design. My sublimation press is way off.. like way off.. pink is now purple. Have i got my print settings wrong? i was trying to use the hippo epson icc setting.

Look at your print settings. Make sure you have best quality picked and turned off fast printing. You also want to try a matte paper setting. Also, if you just converted it, it could be that your ink is not all the way in the printer. Print like 5 sheets to push it through.

A few things. Check your printer settings. Fast mode should be off. Choose best quality. And choose matte paper setting. If that still doesn't work, try printing on regular copy paper and see if it still does it. You could have some bad or wrong sublimation paper.

Thank you for the great information. We currently have a Sawgrass SG400, which hasn’t been working quite right. We can’t find a 4700 in our area, so we’re going to go with an ET2760. Sure will be a huge savings in ink cost, and with the ink that comes in the box, I can use that in my other ET3750.

@@AngieHolden Yes I did contact them and they suggested we clean the capping station inside the machine. Did that, but machine still does it’s automatic maintenance a couple times an hour rather than once a week like it should. Will try and make it through the year and switch to ET2760.

It is never recommended to mix inks. The inks will be different as well as the colors the produce.

I have a question about your set up. With the saw grass they say you don’t have as much maintenance like cleaning the head. I have deliberately not set up my epson eco tank because I’m waiting until I retire by the end of the year because I don’t have time to print stuff all the time to keep the print heads clean. So I’m stressing about what to do. I would love to start some projects but if I have a couple of ruff weeks and can’t craft what then? Help!

I haven't had any issues but I do use mine about once a week. I am not sure about anyone else. You can definitely get a more expensive printer like a sawgrass. My goal so far has been to show sublimation printing for people on a budget.

Hey Angie! The EPSON ET-2800 is much more readily available and teeny bit cheaper than the ET-2720. Nowhere on the whole wide web can I find the difference between these two! I want the 2720 but having a little trouble finding on right now. Any feedback if the 2800 is just as good?

If you want to switch inks, you need to completely drain and flush your printer to remove the old ink.

I have 2720 for sublimation, but I was needed one for regular print. So I bought 4800 what is the difference between both in fact (not sublimation)

My granddaughter is looking into sublimation. She wants to purchase an Epsom Ecotank L1110 which is the cheapest here in Greece where we live) but I'm unsure what ink to recommend as cant find any for the L series. Could you possibly advise?

Do sublimation inks clog the heads like normal ink? My epson et-2650 is toast after not printing for 3 months. Not sure if I should buy another Epson again…

Sublimation ink will clog your printer. There are more expensive sublimation printers that will basically run a bit of ink through on their own if they are left plugged in to prevent clogs. Try looking for a Sawgrass printer.

Hey, the sublimation ink I purchased says it's for Epson 2750 printer but the printer I have is an Epson 2760....will it still be okay to use the 2750 ink?

Adding sublimation ink voids the warranty so no extended protection will work.

You need to completely drain your print to change inks as you don't want to mix inks.

I think any Epson EcoTank that is converted works about the same if using the same ink/paper.
