The Best Taco Salad Recipe EVER ! ! !

We made Taco Salad today, a great, easy to make recipe that will have your friends and family asking you where you found it!
Ingredients and instructions (from video):
Iceberg lettuce shredded
Hamburger meat, 80-20, 3 Lbs with 2 packet taco seasoning + water
Green onion, 2 batches, diced
Avocado, 3, diced
Sliced ripe olives (13 oz can)
Diced tomatoes
Hand grated medium chedder cheese
Doritoes nacho cheese
bob's big boy, bleu cheese dressing
- Drain the meat
- Use paper towels to dry the lettuce to keep salad fresh and crunchy
STEPS
- Dry lettuce then toss in green onion
- Mix in by hand
- Toss in olives, mix in
- Toss in tomato, mix in
- Toss in avocado
- Spread hamburger meat across salad
- Pour dressing over top of the meat
- Crush and pour doritos on top of the salad

We use French Catalina sauce for our taco salad and it's delicious

YES !! Catalina and regular tortilla chip. Oregon, Juanitas are popular for everything. Remember sour cream too. Enjoy.

@@justtabandme8871 Sounds great! If Fiesta beans are vegetarian, I'll definitely try them next time. Salsa is a great idea! I think next time I'll use extra virgin olive oil, freshly squeezed lime juice, and cilantro - YUM!!! I already put a lot of tomatoes in it and I used scallions instead of onions. GREAT TACO SALAD! I didn't put the dressing on it and just put in on my individual dish. What a great dish idea for a crowd.

I make mine with half a head of lettuce. one to two avocados. one tomato. green onion then cheese on top. then Taco Sauce on top. Green or Red suace.

I do it similarly. I do a flat platter. On the bottom I do sour cream with 1 package of taco seasoning, then I do 1 lb of ground beef cooked with 1 package of taco seasoning, taco sauce, ice berg lettuce spread out, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatos, sliced olives, green onion. Use chips to dip in.

Yoy can eliminate squeezing the lettuce by putting it in tupperware, place papertowels over it, put a lid on it and flip it over. Place it in the fridge for a few hours or over night. The lettuce will snap because it's so crisp.

I make this salad a lot in the summer! Blue cheese dressing is excellent or sometimes I'll use a jalapeno ranch. I also add cilantro. I like regular corn chips and I don't use the taco seasoning. I season my beef with oregano, garlic powder, cumin, salt n pepper. Best taco salad ever!!

You need a 3 gallon zip bag. Into the bag place all ingredients, safely zip closed and toss…or each eater can do that into their own personal zip bag.

I‘ve never tried it with blue cheese dressing, but next time I will. I imagine it’ll add some tang, like a tangy sour cream, to the salad. It sounds amazing. I‘ll have to make my own dressing though because blue cheese dressing is not popular in Germany. Thanks for sharing!

It’s so interesting to see how people make taco salad so differently and sometimes similarly. We use most of those same ingredients with the exception of adding in whole black beans. And our dressing is a mix of green taco sauce and mayo. Our friends don’t use Doritos like me, they use Fritos. 😂
