I bet the 15 people still playing tanks will really enjoy these.

We had such good tank trinkets for tanks in DF, especially the cheat death trinket. Now, this is the second season where not a single trinket was like Woah. Maybe the egg from Arakara was decent but the rest were meh.
@Tactyks2 сағат бұрын
Yeah though the egg was just an overtuned stat stick everyone wanted so even then it didn't feel interesting or unique. Really hoping they re-evaluate how they design and tune tank trinkets and give us some cool stuff in the future.

I think the bomb suit and platinum plating are the best defensive trinkets for tanks. I think DK and VDH will really benefit from these. I tried the platinum plating trinket on bear with stacks of iron fur and I don’t think it was working correctly unless there is an armor cap in the game.

Completely agree with your assesment about the auto-proccing (and also the "on taunt") trinkets. Their thresholds are WAY WAY too high, and their values way too low. I would LOVE an "insurance" trinket similar to dragonflight but the current and upcoming ones are yucky.
@Tactyks7 сағат бұрын
Yeah, it seems to be a historic problem as well (thinking back to the Uldaman trinket from DF) which kind of sucks because I know a lot of people would enjoy having a semi-competitive passive defensive option as opposed to just throwing on whatever stat stick exists that season.

Scrapfield 9001 would go off ALLL THE TIME on a DK tank.
@Tactyks2 сағат бұрын
Yup, I think on a lot of tanks you'd basically proc in on CD and never get the haste benefit unless you're not tanking anything for 20s hahaha

Algari alchemist stone looking like a decent option ya?
@Gumblethebear7 сағат бұрын
You should look at the delve 2handed mace. I will absolutely be farming for that to use until I get a mythic weapon. Its explosion proc is very powerful.
@Tactyks6 сағат бұрын
Yeah I mostly left it out because it can't go past hero track and Best-in-Slots also exists, but a decent option if you don't get a myth weapon early!
@Gumblethebear6 сағат бұрын
@@Tactyks I tested out its damage and it comes out (for my bear) to be higher until you have a maxed Myth weapon. The difference between it and the Best in Slot weapon was slimmer than feels appropriate. Wish there was a way to upgrade delve gear if you are Myth raiding.

Yeah, my loot spec will remain set to havoc. Tank trinkets are always underwhelming.
@Tactyks7 сағат бұрын
Definitely seems to be true every season outside of 1-2 outliers. Really hoping they make significant adjustments to how they design tank trinkets in the future but probably shouldnt holy my breath.
@timhundhausen13867 сағат бұрын
After DF S3 with Stonescales and Rageheart tank trinkets are BOUND to feel underwhelming unless you replicate having at least a strong cheat death. Having a cheat on your trink just gives you so much flexibility in talent selection for key pushing it's insane
@Tactyks2 сағат бұрын
Personally I don't really consider either of those trinkets super interesting from a tank perspective, they were just tuned to be powerful. I'd definitely like to see more things like Kazzara's Dreadplates which has offensive and defensive upside without just being the standard "you get an absorb", or things like Ward which could be used for personal defense or to help your party members.
@timhundhausen13862 сағат бұрын
@Tactyks yeah I definitely see that. For me personally those trinkets helped me out in a big way pushing keys as high as I was comfortable pugging them. While I think you're right that interesting trinkets would be great, giving tanks powerful trinkets is a good incentive to play tank in a pug environment - the conflation of tank feeling weak, this season being brutal, and a lack of powerful tank trinkets leads to the absolutely dismal state of tank willingness to pug rn imo
