Steve Lawrence was among the best of favorite performer. Seen him at Harrah's South Lake Tahoe few times with great anticipation. His presence was awesome with a charming smile and loving feelings that filled my spirit. I love all the songs in his version and still my top choice is "I Gotta Be Me" that is my own song as well an expression of existence and belief. Love you Steve, and hope you live long and healthy... as I am there with you too one year your senior. Life is beautiful. Thank you so much for being the talented performer you were. I heard his voice from our neighbor's radio when I was in elementary . I came to love his voice that I can't forget even if I don't know his name. It's just when I was 69 that I came to know his name. There are some singers who sang this but I said it's not him. So I hear those versions one by one until I heard his voice. Then I said, oh, he is the one. So his name is Lawrence. The voice I can't forget.
