Paul Anka was, is and will be one of the greatest singers in history, the most underrated in my opinion. Most people don't know that he is the writer of the best song Sinatra ever recorded, "My Way". Definitely one of the last great singers alive 🎶🎵

He didn't. The original composer of "My Way" is Claude François. Paul Anka just the wrote the english version

@@Timelord-jx6od I didn't say he composed it. I called him the "writter" and not the "author" of the song because I know he took the melody from the French song "Comme d'habitude". However I think it's quite diffrent because Anka's version it's not only a translation of the song, he changed the entire lyrics and added a powerful instrumental that makes it considerably better than the original one

I saw Paul Anka live at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on June 1, 2024. He sang this song as well as all of his hits. What a GREAT SHOW IT WAS and He Still Has Got It now in his 80's. If you get the chance to see him live, "I highly recommend it" You assure you, you won't be disappointed.

If it wasn’t for Elvis that song would have been the most depressing song of all time!! Anka stated how Elvis rang him to say he’d do the song on the Aloha From Hawaii Show which was the first to beam round the world via satellite Anka said Elvis wasn’t the guy for that song!! Well considering Elvis broke all the barriers despite the begrudgers when he revolutionised the music industry, the clowns filmed him from waist up and on it went, he certainly did it his way!! If ever there was a song written to express it, it was Elvis who deserves to sing it!! The rest is a joke!! Sinatra was a good crooner but didn’t come close to Presley’ achievements
