@@adrienking5594 It's an unreal place, but make sure you are well planned ahead of time on where you are going and how you are getting there. Apple Maps work and Bing as the search engine. Whats app also works but everything else is banned. 100% do the Great Wall - my favourite single place in the world. Is there anything else you want to know?

Did You pre book anything and if so what websites did you use ? love the videos
@gazwrighttravel
@gazwrighttravel 15 күн бұрын
Hey matey! we did NOT pre book anything and just went around ourselves, but its extremely difficult. Most things on your phone wont work so I would download Apple Maps and the only search engine that I have had work is Bing. Have the places pre planned in order of where you want to go and have the english name and the names in Mandarin incase you ask someone for directions. The metro there is really good and quick to get around, but you need to know where you are going or it can be difficult! The only thing we pre booked is the Great Wall and you need to do this AT LEAST 24 hours before to ensure you are on an English tour. I made that mistake the first time in China and ended up on a Mandarin tour... deffo useful to get all the info in English :) How long are you going to China for?

I heard that Westerners eat burgers, fried chicken, French fries, Coke, coffee, sandwiches, steak, pizza, pasta, cereal, and milk for three meals a day. Is this true? Or do Americans and Europeans have different diets?

I always struggle in Asia as I’m severely allergic to nuts, so I have to be super careful what I eat. In terms of the UK we try and eat the best things from every country. I love Japanese and Italian the most! Love cooking as well. I’m not a huge fan of fast food, but have it from time to time. I’ve not been to the US for a while, so not to much insight there. Florida when I was 6 and New York at 16… a long time ago now 😂 What’s your top 3 favourite foods/ cuisine?

It definitely depends, in the Eu we definitely eat more healthy than in America but that also depends on the financial status of the family and area, because usually wealthy people are more health conscious.

Thanks for these great highlights. I'm going to China with my adult daughter for the first time in October and these tips are super helpful. How many days do you recommend staying in Beijing to see and do all this?
@gazwrighttravel
@gazwrighttravel 4 ай бұрын
@@pamelatom3190 it depends what visa you are on. We did the transit visa so had 5 nights and 4 full days. 1 day is the Great Wall trip and then the rest exploring Beijing. I think 3 is plenty 👨🏻‍💻 I would advise getting a detailed plan locked in before going as most apps on your phone won’t work. Apple Maps do work and bing is the only search engine that works. I would note down where you are going along with the Chinese word for it. It will make it easier to search and navigate when there. If you have any other questions just give me a shout

Hello, I am a Chinese girl named Petal who has lived in Beijing for more than one decade I saw the video you posted to introduce Chinese tourist attractions on KZbin, and I guess that you might be a travel expert or a travel company. If I didn’t offend you, could I ask you that do need a local tour guide in Beijing or China to assist your team when traveling to China. If you have this consideration, we can cooperate. If not, we can also be friends, and you are welcome to travel to China again. Feel free to Email to me if you have any question!

Hey - thanks for the message. Thats the hardest part of making travel content - getting the pronunciation right. I usually just go with how they are spelt and then people can at least look them up for theirselves. Which one did I pronounce the worst?
@janetleeadams7287
@janetleeadams7287 8 ай бұрын
@@gazwrighttravel I DID like your video. Transcription of Chinese into English phonetics has a few problems. To begin, Beijing. The 'j' is a hard sound like 'Judge.' I hear it pronounced both ways, but in China, the people use the hard j. Q is a problem. Roughly, Q is pronounced like our 'ch.' So, Ching or China or Chin. There is actually a need to curl the tongue sometimes for Q, other times to make the sound with teeth almost closed. But don't worry. I spent two years in Chinese class and three years in China and I still make mistakes.
