The best part of Charlevoix is the mushroom houses, the beach and lighthouse and walking through downtown. You did all of them! Driving around Lake Charlevoix is fun too, even the little Ironton Ferry which goes across the southern part of the lake. South of Charlevoix is Deadman's Hill which is one of the prettiest spots for Fall colors. Young State Park is another place that's fun to explore along the Lake. Lake Charlevoix is Michigan's 3rd largest inland lake. It connects to Round Lake in Charlevoix itself, which empties out to Lake Michigan at the Charlevoix lighthouse.
