Don't get me wrong, Tim Burton's movies are probably my FAVORITE of all movies, but credit should be given where credit is due: the ever-so-talented Danny Elfman composed the majority of these soundtracks. (I'm not sure if he wrote the music for "Sweeney Todd", which is why I said the majority, not all.) The talent displayed here is the music, which should have Danny Elfman's name mentioned. (Again, don't get me wrong, I'm quite obsessed with Tim Burton's movies....and a lot of that has to do with the Danny Elfman music going on throughout the movies.) :) P.S. This is one of the BEST compilations of Tim Burton's movie soundtracks that I've heard!

Ed Wood soundtrack was composed by Howard Shore. Sweeney Todd soundtrack was written and composed by Stephen Sondheim. Everything else was composed by Danny Elfman.

By no means all of it. Stephen Sondheim wrote the great music from Sweeney Todd, a landmark Broadway musical. But I completely agree that Elfman is an absolute genius. And his singing voice for Jack Skellington is one of the best things on film.

Nowhere in the title does it say that Tim burton wrote and or composed the songs it simply says "Tim burton movies" meaning it's the music FROM the Tim Burton movies

As Noe said, Stephen Sondheim composed the music & songs for Sweeney Todd, also Howard Shore composed the music for Ed Wood. So no, Danny Elfman has not composed every Tim Burton film, just most of them.

Danny Elfman created all of the wonderful songs on the list with the exception of the Sweeney Todd music and Ed Wood. Those were composed by Stephen Sondheim as this is also an existing Broadway Musical. He composed and wrote the lyrics for the original production. Ed Wood was composed by Howard Shore who is also responsible for the incredible Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

Two things: 1 - It's a compilation based off the movies not the composer, but yes Danny Elfman is great. 2 - Joanna is a terrible song no matter how pretty the music is. Loved the video, it'll be excellent background music for work.
