what extra quality should international students have to get them admitted in ivy league colleges?

The only strategy that most kids (who aspire to ivy or similar schools and have the grades, ECs and general mental horsepower to go there) need to follow is this: get a book of 5-10 actual past SAT tests, work the sections timed, and review missed questions. Your score will improve and you can get into the 1500s from that alone. Take it fall of your junior year (prep some the prior summer). If necessary, you can take it again, including the following spring. SAT's are often one and done. If you prepare as I've stated, you can hit a score such as a 1530 (first time) and be done. Admissions won't care whether your score is a 1530 or a 1560. 1530+, don't bother taking it again. Other factors will dictate admissions - focus on developing those attributes.

I think the scores required depends on the university you choose and secondly yes you can do that through exchange program
