I bought this yesterday (at time of writing). I'm not really a motor vehicle or racing type of person but when I saw this it tickled my nostalgia. I got to admit, I didn't expect it to be as simulator orientated as it was but I'm actually playing it a lot and plan to continue to do so. Sometimes playing a game in a genre one doesn't experience that often can be a great thing for it feels like a fesh(er) experience for a gaming veteran like myself.

very good tips! I have the feeling that the "free play mode" is very underrated. its so damn usefull, even for a player like me with 500hours ingame. Also seeing my different Car-Designs i lost because of the release making me sad 😁

It is very underrated! you can learn a lot about car handling, tactics and just track layout and perfection. I will follow this up with a fun little series tho ;)

Great video, but can you answer me these questions: can you play ps5 circuit superstars with keyboard? And can the 2,3 and 4 player play with the keyboard on ps5? Like player 1 plays with controler and player 2 plays with keybord and player 3 plays with controler? Please can someone answer me, i really want to play this game with my brother and sister.

What's your control method of choice? I'm using keyboard which can be tricky, is controller better?

I use controller myself, but stay with what you are comfortable with because there is no difference at the moment between the 2

@@perretv thanks for that. Biggest problem I have with the game is the madness that happens in the midfield. There's some weird netcode collision detecting going on.

@@greymack That is indeed an issue right now, but the developers have come a long way to bring this kind of racing to us. they are continuing their work on that plus new content as well they are a very dedicated team!

@@greymack I also have problems (on Xbox) I'll be driving nowhere near anyone and it'll just throw my car around like crazy. Also if I clip the pit wall on entry, my car won't stop jumping up and down like it's on hydrolics. It's infuriating. Does anyone else have this problem?

Just got this on series x, been following the development of the game from before it was released in beta form so happy it is now available on Xbox. Obviously I’m on a pad on coming console but I see lots of videos on KZbin from people using keyboard which I’m a little disappointed with tbh. I know this is not a sim obviously but what appealed to me from when it was first announced was it would have sim like components. So I thought analog controls would have been a must. Nevertheless the first few offline races I’ve enjoyed, I just suspect ill not be playing against keyboard players if there is an advantage there.

There is no real advantage in using keyboard over controller other then turning in smaller increments. But if you use the joystick you can try to smoothen out the turns, i havent actually tested that.

@@perretv thanks. I think there might be slight advantage because using digital input the steering is quicker, it effectively goes to max lock where as using analog stick it takes longer. Depending on how they’ve factored in physics they should have given back some advantage to analog inputs in terms of tyre wear etc. This is only from my short time playing, definitely noticed the faster steering when using the digital dpad.

do you actually use the brakes, or just stop using full throttle? I feel like I never use the brakes at all....

We only brake on a really tight hairpin, with the slipstream you might want to use it more often :)

Honestly, I didn't learn anything from this video. You could apply this strategy to ANY game (Practice, Play vs AI etc)

These things i mentioned is what i used to get faster when starting out, the game has already gone trough lots of fases, and other tricks have been found. Faster isnt only measured in laptimes, but also consistency in those laptimes, thats where these things come into play.

I am in shock with this game, totally unexpected how incredible it is. It’s a damn sim racer lmao I got my ass handed to me. Just curious though what car is the fastest circuit car? I know in real life nothing comes close to Modern F1 is that how this game is too?
