It is too expensive. Use cream cheese, ricotta, and heavy milk cream. It would cost less. For the coffee liquor use Kalua. Or, buy one already made.

Looks delicious! But I have a question; would it be possible to make this cheesecake (or any type of cheesecake) using only mascarpone? Because I don't really like to use cream cheese, it leaves a sour/bitter taste but I've got no problem putting mascarpone in desserts ;) Love your videos :)

I think you need to use the cream cheese and besides in cheesecake it doesn't leave a sour bitter taste and cheesecake is sweet, I recommend adding the cream cheese just to be safe :)

+3moTional27 I recommend using cream cheese. The sour part you're tasting in cheesecakes is actually the sour cream. You can omit it from this recipe and replace it with heavy cream. An all-mascarpone cheesecake might not set the same way... :)

Hmm, make sure to double wrap or even triple wrap the bottom of the pan so water does not seep in! And if it's still raw in the center, just keep baking. I recommend turning the oven temperature down so that the surface doesn't burn, but bake for longer

Oh, oh! sorry to hear that your cake didn't turn out! It does take about 2 hours to bake but since each oven bakes differently, you can try adjusting the temperature of your oven to a higher temp, as long as the cheesecake doesn't burn.

hello! you could just skip the amaretto or just add some almond extract,it just tastes the same and doesn't make a difference! And for the strong coffee,I add one and half TEASPOON of instant coffee in half a cup of water, tastes divine! Or,you could just follow Tatyana's recipe! hope this helped!

Young lady, I have made a few cheesecakes in my life. I am sitting here waiting for your recipe to come out of the oven. There is something that you should know - your original recipe called for 4 blocks of cream cheese. But the batter was so runny, I quick chopped an extra block and tossed it into the batter and let the mixer run for a few more minutes. Are you absolutely sure that 4 blocks (32 ounces) is correct?

Hi Gwyn! Thanks for your message. Yes, I used 4 blocks of cheese for this recipe, PLUS 8 ounces mascarpone cheese. The consistency may have to do with the cream cheese. If the cheese gets too soft, you'll have a more runny batter. However, the cheesecake should still bake well. Hope you enjoy the cheesecake and let me know how it turned out!

@@TatyanasEverydayFood I also used the 8 oz of mascarpone but it was still runny. After the added block of cream cheese, I said a prayer and popped it into the oven. It came out looking amazing! I am now beginning the whipped cream portion so I will let you know what others think about it's overall taste and texture.

Hi I used your recipe to make my 2nd Cheesecake. Just has a few questions for you. My cheesecake doesn't look like your cake at all. Why is there are many tiny hole at the side of my cake? At the top of my cake has a big bubble which I popped after I finished it. I think I burned my cake, how do prevent them next time. Thanks.

Hi there! So sorry your cake didn't turn out. Hmm, sounds like you had some air bubbles trapped in your batter. Try tapping the pan or let the filling stand for 10 before filling the pan. That can sometimes happen. If the cake burned, turn your oven temperature down. Every oven bakes differently and my temperatures and times are always estimates. Hope your next cake turns out better! :)

This is 2nd time that I actually try to bake something. No wonder that I failed miserably! Haha. BTW you mention to put 1/4 cup of strong coffee. My I know the ratio of the coffee? I used 1/4 hot water and put like 3 teaspoons full of the instant coffee. Is that why my cake turned out to be dark brown color instead of your milky color cake in your video? Thanks for your quick reply.

I put my cake in the oven just over an hour and a half ago... there's 20 minutes left before the 2 hour mark... I was very apprehensive when I put it in the oven, because, even though I followed your instructions to the "T", my mixture was a lot more liquid than yours appeared... yours looked like you added whipped cream, giving the mix a cloudy, thick and rich look, whereas mine was liquid enough to have filled in the pan nicely without having me spread it to the edges with a spatula... I just checked it for doneness, and the top is set somewhat, but when I tapped on it, it was clear that it was still very liquid inside... not "just slightly wobbly" as you put it... I will see in 20 minutes what gives... keeping my fingers crossed that I haven't wasted $40.00+ ...

So, following up... as instructed, after 2 hours I opened the oven door a few inches, shut off the heat and let the cake sit there for an hour... I just brought it out to the counter where it will sit for a few hours before I refrigerate it overnight... it seems to have set beautifully with absolutely no cracks and I am sooooo much MORE excited about it now than I was when I first commented above... I am beginning to believe I have a winner cake here Tatyana... I can't wait to remove it from the spring form tomorrow and decorate it... it's for my girl friend's birthday and her favorite cake is Tiramisu, which I was going to make until I found this recipe... I'm hoping for major brownie points with this cheesecake... or should I say, Tiramisu points... :) Too bad we can't upload our photos to these comments. I'll follow up again after we cut the cake on Saturday and let you know exactly how it came out.

Well Tatyana, the cheesecake was a tremendous success. It was creamy and dreamy and my girl friend and everybody at the supper totally loved it. I decorated exactly as in the video, but I also added some chocolate designs I made by melting dark Belgian compound chocolate and forming stars on waxed paper, cooling them in the fridge and standing them in the rosettes of whipped cream. I was thrilled with this recipe. Thank you so much for sharing it and I will most certainly make this again. Simply amazing! :)

Alcohol is a great way to preserve intense flavors, most extracts are alcohol based. If you want to create a recipe with no alcohol, use hazelnut syrup :)

+anilem55 You can bake this without a water bath but I recommend it if you want a smooth and flat top. Cheesecakes tend to cave in when baked without a water bath... But it will still taste great! :)
