Very useful. I especially like being able to bring parameters from a spreadsheet. Street trees, botanical garden, firescape, wetland species etc..

Hi…It’s a great update from Environment .Thanks for this support definitely it will impact on the projects and reduce lot of time. I have a request in planting family which will be useful in coordination purpose. I think it will be good if we can add root ball system in the coming update so it will reduce lot of time in coordination with other utilities for large scale projects. For example:Whenever we place a planting family automatically root ball system also will come with the planting family. In type parameter ,we can choose the size (radius & depth).

I agree. In the famylies that I developed in my company I placed a parametic cube as the root ball and that help a lot to coordinate and do the clash detection with infraestructure projetcs

That is really amazing! It's funny because I developed something similar in my company and the logic that I used was the same as yours, see the variation of species first by their format like a family in revit and then using types to create the diferent species that have similar form. I was using a lot of shared parameters and type catalog to manage all that, but now with this new tool in the environment plugin will be a lot more ease to manage all my library. I'm really excited to try this new feature!
