Good stuff. I really am begining to feel like risk management and mindset are the only important things in trading. Techincal analysis helps to give an edge, but if you let your winners run and cut your loosers short, you really don't need to win that often. I used to have a ton of idicators on my chart, and use them as a filter for setups. But now I feel like I can get rid of everything except for moving averages and one momentum indicator - probably MACD or RSI. All those other indicators were just telling me what price was doing, when I could really just see it on the chart. Trading is certainly a journey, and you have to be willing to let your beliefs die along the way.

Hi I read Mark Minervini book,I have some selling question The following selling rules all need to calculate days, but how to calculate them? 1.70% up days over a 7 to 15 day period 2.AFTER extended move stock moves up 25-50% in 1-3 weeks (12 of 15 days up over 3 weeks) 3.6-10 days of accelerated advance with all but 2 or 3 days up

If were you I'd be investing broadly into the S&P 500 and broader index funds, that way you're instantly diversified and you don't have to worry about it too much. Over time, your investment shall grow, just don't get too focused on the short-term.

would be dependent on market environment. now would be fine, but there are also other things you need to consider when going short (divvy risk, borrow rates, locate fee, etc.) bear market rallies are also alot more "violent" than your normal uptrend, low vol environment we experienced 2020-21 so you must exercise even more caution.

great video, the only caveat to this IMHO is that this strategy will normally work great in a bull market but in the choppy sideways market we are currently experiencing I don't put a lot of faith in finding breakouts, there just aren't many stocks breaking out and when one starts a breakout all too often, the whales step in to sell it off. That's why I mostly using credit spreads (bull put, bear call, Iron condor etc.)

This is very interesting and informative channel. But one thing I find odd: The risk-reward-ratio is calculated after the fact. IMHO the RRR is to be estimated *before* you enter a trade, so to make an educated decision whether to enter the trade at all, or not. Looking at it after the fact is only history.

Hi Ralph, I depends... my long term average RR is 1 to 4 based on hundreds of trades, therefore I project based on the expectation. More is great, less is under achieved.

@@FinancialWisdom I see, but I'm my mind only the market structure determines where the price might go. For example, you prefer the horizontal range breakout over the bullflag because each mini high within the bullflag pattern marks a potential resistance, as you explain. Likewise, unless the pattern occurs at an all time high or a long time span away from a previous high, there is a historic market structure that might get in your way. I've learned that this is the determining factor for a price target, not my personal experience, because the market doesn't know me nor would it care about my experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

what i keep asking myself is how these guys like mark, besides having more cagr than anyone for so long has a net worth (apparently) below 100m usd, I mean, even if you buy good stocks monthly for 40-50 years and never sell you'd have more money than this with 15% cagr.
