The following video consists of our experience of driving a 4x4 rented Jeep on the Corkscrew Gulch Trail in the beautiful Ouray and Telluride areas of Colorado, United States of America.
If you would like to donate to the Suzie Rhodes GoFund Me, the link is as follows:

Please be careful when you drive your jeep or 4x4 vehicle on the Corkscrrew Gulch Trail. The Corkscrew Gulch Trail is a relatively easy trail in comparison to most of the other off-road trails in the Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton, Colorado areas. Some of the other trails in the area are: Yankee Boy Basin, Governor Basin, Imogene, Ophir, Last Dollar Pass, Black Bear, Owl Creek, Roaring Fork, and Brown Mountain Gulch, to name just a few. These trails can be dangerous and you must be alert and careful at all times; especially near the edges. The most difficult trail is the Black Bear Pass and you need to be really experienced to drive on it. Please take your time when jeeping. It is terrible when I hear about people getting injured and even killed on some of these awesome trails.
We rented our jeep at the Switzerland of America Jeep Rental in Ouray, Colorado. Here is the link.... soajeep.com/. Please note, we have no present or future financial affiliation with this company and can only say we had a good experience.
To get to the Corkscrew Gulch Trail you would travel from the south end of the City of Ouray and head south 7.8 miles on the Million Dollar Highway over Bear Creek Falls Bridge through vertical canyon walls to a valley lined with carpets of thick Aspen and turn left (east) onto Country Road 20 (Corkscrew Road). The Corkscrew Gulch Trail is approximately five miles long and was built in 1882 to provide access between Silverton with the town and mines on Red Mountain. The Corkscrew Gulch Trail is an awesome and really fun experience if you are visiting Ouray, Telluride, or Silverton, Colorado. You can take the Corkscrew Gulch trail to the summit of the Red Mountain, which is approximately 12,400 feet.

Of the many trails that we have hiked in Colorado, this was one of the best. It is a great way to spend a weekend checking out the trails in this area. Our video just gives you an idea as to what to expect. I would recommend you check it out this summer or spring. I'm not sure what it is like in the winter months when it is colder. 😀

Beautiful trails. Little confused on why the accident on Black Bear Pass was interjected in the video.

Charlie, thanks for watching the video. I included the accident on Black Bear Pass to let people who have never done this activity that you have to be careful and alert at all times on some of these more advanced trails. Also I wanted to try and raise some additional funds for her (Suzi Rhodes) gofund me account. Not sure how much more money people donated, but at least wanted to try to help out her and her family somehow. Keep on enjoying the outdoors! 😎🇺🇸🤟

We always are safe when we are in the 4x4 Jeep. We take it slow when near the edges of the trail.
