Do not stack evasion if you do not commit. If an enemy has more hit than you have evasion. IT IS COMPLETLY USELESS as you can never evade against them. Endurance is never useless it only gets better and better the more you have. Also think. Every single dps is gonna stack hit, crit, and heavy attack. So endurance is the safest and best option.

Which of these - endurance or evasion - is more effective (if it even matters) for PVE, specifically for dungeon boss tanking? Don't give a flying f' about PVP - burned out on that elsewhere - just interested in the PVE side of this particular game.

You dont need either for PVE. PVE is easy in this game, you can avoid tanking any dmg if you jsut know the mechanics of bosses

There is no database with raid bosses or guild bosses with hit rating statistics which means there is no way of knowing how much evasion you need to make the stat viable in PVE. Also, I highly doubt they are gonna allow players to fully mitigate boss hits over and over with a high probability - so I would bet you cannot out "hit" our out evade boss hit rating which makes endurance the only option for PVE.

Honestly regret not just going with resistance gears. Reason being to unlock traits u need the same named gear with the trait u want to unlock. Unless u use unlick stones which u cant buy. Have to totally grind for it in the portals weekly rewards lithos etc. u might be able to frt the first piece of uber awesome purple gear but to get it another teo times with the trait u want to unlock with is freaking impossible with the gated coop dungeon and zero world boss drops!

Think about it.. If you can trait your gear rapidly and/OR readily available for defense... then so can everyone else for offense which literally cancels the whole thing out and everyone is back to square one.. And if you say "oh I don't PvP" then aside from this being the wrong game for you, it is somewhat the same premises on PVE - you are doing max damage and are getting hit for nothing in open world elite dungeon farming and killing everything instantly so.. whats the point or the gameplay loop?

He literally just said... max health and then endurance of 2 kinds... make sure you go thru all your gear and see what kinds of traits they all can have because some pieces can't have ranged endurance and only magic and melee so you might shoot yourself in the foot if you get to your last 2 pieces and you can't put whatever the type of endurance you need on them

i do not understand, endurance is only for crits, so it seems useless? lets say someone has 700 crit chance and i have 1000 endurance, that means i have 30% chance to get min damage from that crit correct? or am i missing something?

You are missing something. The percentages are not 1:1 When you have more endurance than a player has HIT then there is a flat percentage probability set in stone by the game, that the attack will hit/crit. Now on the flip side, the percentages will vary depending on the difference. For example A player with 700 hit rating attacks a guy with 1000 endurance, lets assume for arguments sake he has a 10% chance to crit, but if he attacks some one with 1300 endurance, he STILL has 10% chance to crit. But when he attacks someone with lets say 1600 endurance then maybe he now has 5% chance to crit. Also, endurance is not useless, regular damage means nothing to a tank (let's just assume we are discussing tanks).. A group of people can't kill a tank w.o critting.. The only damage that matters are critical strikes.

You can negative crit. Basically the attack will do the lowest possible damage. If you have high end and DR and they have low crit you can make them do 0 damage. This is why some people opt for the hybrid build. Melee evasion with ranged endurance like he said in the vid. Alot of melee pvp attacks are very high damage and hit while you are CCed so there's no blocking. A low roll hit can still do 4-5k damage. On the flip side alot of ranged attacks are consistent multi hit low damage attacks, so getting low rolls with decent DR gives more bang for your buck. Hybrid is much harder to build around though.

I just switched from Daggers / Xbow to Bow / Wand, support is so much fun! I am very closely following the guide on Maxroll, if you check it out just be aware that they have 2 pages, one for PVP and one of PVE, and each page has sub menu for different builds. Worth a look.

i am a pure PVE Sns / GS player, its been eating me and my lucents quite frankly (10k or more, i've lost the count) to decide on one trait.... i am Gona focus dungeons, open world dungeons, open world mobs and raids, so if i am to focus these content should i go for melee and ranged evasion along with melee endurance or just melee and ranged and maybe magic evasion also? sorry ive scoured the internet and discords and everywhere i could ask.. not sure what are PVP stats and what are PVE focused.

Pve is super easy and mainly mechanics based if you don't spec for pvp you are doing yourself a disservice

I'd just go full endurance, in PvP, if you're strength based, I think any geared DPS is going to "out hit" your Evasion, so may as well stack Endurance, specifically Magic and Melee IMO. I don't think regular or boss mods will ever "miss" you either so Evasion is probably useless in PvE, thus making Endurance your go to again.
