Best comparison video of the three great options I've ever seen. You can also combine the saddle with the climber & go around branches. Recent popularity of saddle hunting has put the original Lone Wolf climber out of business. But... (lol), as a guy who's got more hunting days behind than in front, saddle hunting requires movement, at the absolute most critical moments, which is key, negates any weight advantage, doesn't mean a sharp guy can't adapt. My humble opinion is the saddle is social media hype, super smart guys looking for ways to cut down on weight to pack, it's been around during the bowhunting boom in popularity in the 1980's & 90's and never gained traction & anything works in low pressure states. It's all about the fun we have out there, playing with all the gear & advantages to every system. Great video brother, truly enjoyed it!

There is a chance the Lone Wolf climbers could come back. They are great tools for mobile hunting but never really rode the mobile hunting wave. Maybe it just looks cooler to hang a stand or a saddle and the style points aren't there so climbers don't get the social media press.

@@SufferingOutdoors Exactly, agree 100%. I also purchased a sit & climb LW version and modified the seat with a basketball net type seat (hazemore seat available online), effortless climbing. Great video, it's one of my favorite topics & comes up very often in hunters conversations. Everything works once you perfect your own system, repetition is the mother of skill.

I have all three and use all three each season. Hangon for pre sets or weird tree areas. Climber all day sits especially when I am carrying lots of clothes and taking food just way more comfort. Saddle for early season when not climbing high, using a different area each time I go out, scouting mostly or over large areas always take saddle just in case.

Yeah I think the main thing I wanted to point out was that one method is not supreme and that each has its place. I feel too many guys claim one is superior in all aspects. Which is not true. There are pros and cons to each and situations where one method is better than others.

Saddle for butt comfort lol, hangon or climber for longer sits.
