The "Tomboyification of womanswear" has been a godsend for my wardrobe. I've been soooo comfy 😅

This is one of my favorite videos that you've made, and I've been here for 5+ years. It's amazing to hear a lot of the things that I've been seeing and thinking about articulated so clearly and in a way that finally comes together and clicks. You are such a unique and fresh voice in the fashion and influencer space and I hope more people tune in to see what they've been missing. As always, thank you Jade.

Today I went for an excursion in art gallery and one of the grandpas had earily similar sweater to mine. We both looked cute and comfy so old ppls accessories are great!

I always loved the tomboy look! I’d even go as far as to say that women look better in suits than men 😇

Hey Jade! I literally love this video I think your commentary is so thoughtful and insightful. One counter point I may add to the JT conversation is that I think the shoot/campaign was actually quite feminine(i.e. the colors, blowing hair, flattering makeup). I think to your point on the scrutinization of darker skin women, I think she received a lot of backlash because she's inherently masculinized for her complexion. I think if it was a lighter skin or white woman in the campaign the question of femininity would not even be brought up. Totally love your points on this. big fan! keep going.

THANK YOU for saying that, bc it's true. it was actually pretty feminine and i agree with you on if this was a lighter skinned woman.

I'm trying to bring more whimsy and play and fun into my clothing so I really appreciate what you said in the old people section lol. Life is too hard for me to not have fun with the way I dress. I refuse to take this shit too seriously.

The way you frame trends and how you talk about fashion makes your videos so interesting to watch! Thank you !

i can't believe i'm only just now getting in to your videos. you're so smart & willing to talk about things other fashion ppl (idk what else to call them lol) aren't willing to talk about - or are afraid/too cowardly to talk about. you're amazing! (& talented & gorgeous. congrats. you're doing a great job)

Another great vid! I love “…how can we talk about fashion through the lens of identity…” at 15:50. That is also my ethos and so I know when I’m lost in life when I’m lost in my fashion. It is the main mechanism through which I communicate with the outside world. I agree with all your points and I’ve been struggling to explain to my friends why I purposely thrift “ugly” things now! It’s a challenge and the chance to create something new (to me at least). Thank you for making this! ❤😊

Love to see you talk about fashion this way and I absolutely love it when different people take different pieces and make them their own; to me that's art. I'm glad to see individuality in style being embraced more and most importantly to see women dress for themselves. You've described it perfectly in this video. My personal style relates to my identity and what I feel is empowering to me - or rather it makes me feel more like myself and that definitely looks different for everyone.

6:17 this is exactly how I felt when I noticed womenswear started becoming more tomboy. I feel more comfortable dressing masc and I’m glad it’s more acceptable nowadays.

Banging video, Jade. Tis very refreshing for women to be able to switch up their looks across styles and moods without care of anyone's judgement or criticism. You are eloquent with it. Keep on shining 🌠

loved this!! as a genderqueer autistic living rurally (& just beginning to figure out my style but i have literally no money), i would love to hear more about the clothes & identity topic. i’ve been scared / hesitant / reluctant to wear what i want to wear out in public bc i have boobs and a beard and want to emphasize those but i don’t want to get beat up.

def think about safety, and i think that's something some of us have to think about more than others. but maybe there are small ways to dress authentically, such as wearing certain jewelry, colors, or culturally significant pieces.

i’ve been wearing rings & fun colors & patterns, plus i’ve been focusing on the high quality thrifted pieces that i already have. thanks ✨

Some days I enjoy dressing very tomboyish and some days I dress very fem. I love that the anti-male gaze trend "normalize" the multifaceted women fashion style for non-LGBTQ women. Women can wear whatever we want. We don't need to dress "flattering" or to attract people. We can simply enjoy fashion just to please ourselves in our own way.

This inspired me to wear an outfit I tried the other day that I liked but the fit wasn’t my fav. But I think I didn’t like the fit for reasons that aren’t actually important. I still like the outfit so I’m guna wear it outside ❤

Learning a lot from your channel. Found your personal size info in the notes helpful but as a 5 foot tall female, it would help for comparison purposes to know what is your height?

where you mentioned how you shop by "fit" is so real because if it doesn't fall the way i'd want it to, there's no point of getting it/incorporating it into my wardrobe🧍🏾♂️ being able to dress based on nothing else but wanting to look good and feel comfy with what you're wearing is always one of my goals as i'll just be able to go about my day with no worry as i know i LEWK GOOD🫵🏾🤍
