I made this Mrs Mattie and tweaked it to my liking. I added onion's, celery and bell pepper. Garlic powder, onion powder, blk pepper, Tony's. Hellmann's, French's mustard and sweet relish. Of course boiled eggs and some suga

You are 100% on how important it is to learn to eyeball your food. There are too many recipes out there with different measurements that never work out the way they promise. I've experienced many flops in the kitchen even though I followed measurements perfectly. It is better to be shown, to learn to eyeball your food and to taste it at times. What a difference that makes in the finished product! And it makes the process a lot more fun too :)

My mother used to enhance the flavor of tuna fish by mixing a little bit of sugar and vinegar in a dish. Then stirring it to melt the sugar and adding it to the tuna. This made it taste so much better without it being too sweet. She also did this with potato salad.
