I loved watching him do that but I'm 89 years old and I could never put all those things together I do it very simple with just the drain water from the tuna and mayo fresh onion celery if I have it and sweet pickle relish by that time I'm really tired standing so mine is just a quick one but I would like to eat his recipe. So thank you for the video and I'll be looking for you again.🤩🤩

This reminds me of when I was a kid, growing up on my Grandmother's farm in the 70's before my family moved to Hawaii. My Grandmother who was a child during the great depression was VERY FRUGAL, they grew and ate EVERYTHING, nothing went to waste, every food item then bought was "day old", etc. in an effort to save a penny or two because of their upbringing, plus being Russian immigrants, they know what going without was like. ANYWAYS, when my grandmother made Tuna Salad, she put literally anything she could find in there to stretch that small can of tuna out. She put tomato, onion, celery, carrots, walnuts, cheese cubes, anything she could find to stretch that can out. She could make 12 sandwiches with one small can of tune, no joke... Thanks for sharing Chef JP, I always make your recipes, and my family always love them!!!

Chef I made two dinners for my aunt and uncle this weekend. The first was the chicken scallopini with the lemon caper sauce and the arugula. The second was the bacon and onion quiche I added mushrooms and spinach and both were massive hits. Although I wasn’t super happy about the chicken as far as consistency. The first three chicken breast were perfectly golden but I think the mistake I made was not cleaning the pan after the first batch because the Panko on the fourth and fifth pieces and I’ve been like a little bit burnt. And even though they cooked fine and tasted great they weren’t golden like the first ones. The quiche I was told was the best they ever had. I was very happy and wanted to thank you for the guidance and inspiration.

Placed it on a bed of letuce and used a potato peeler and shaved a cucumber. On top of the tomato was a devil egg . The woman was totally thrilled with it because she thought she was just getting tuna salad sandwich 🥪 . Unbeknownst to me she was the owners best friend. This type of salad is one of those things that get better when you rest it in a fridge for a few hours at least, the flavors combine together and the sauce takes on all the juices from vegetables. The tuna will also absorb some of the sauce so you may want to save some extra sauce too if the salad is too dry when serving. Great recipe as always :) personally I like a little bit of lemon or lime zest in there too.

Tuna fish. Mix mayonnaise, celery seed, capers, some caper juice, lemon. Let the flavors meld for half hour. Then mix in his tuna. Eat with lettuce and tomato on sourdough toast.

Nope. I am not a fan of capers at all. I skip them every time.

I have always loved the tuna-tomato combo (as well as tuna/egg salad combo) but I would never have thought of adding capers and fennel. Will love this.

This looks interesting, especially because he's using my favorite hot sauce of all time. I've been in love with it for 30 years. I put that s on everything lol, but never thought of it for tuna salad. I have a bowl in the fridge with elbow noodles right now. At lunchtime I'm going to try it

Which brand hot sauce is that? I didn't recognize the bottle. I have some favorites but always looking for new ones to try.

@@lisapop5219 Thanks! I had a small bottle ages ago but haven't seen it since. It's cayenne pepper based, correct? It only mentions pepper in the ingredient list, but not the type.

@valvenator I'm not sure of the type of pepper. I love it because it has a strong vinegary flavor too so its tangier than others I've tried

I love serving in natural containers. This will be a treat!
