The Best Turboprop You Never Heard of | Transall C160 | REAL Pilot | AzurPoly |

Not very often does an airplane release that I cant get enough of. Most of the time after a few flights it gets parked in the hangar to be cycled in to the next rotation of aircraft ill fly.
This C160 from #Azure #poly is different. Is it perfect in its V1.0 state? No. I will highlight some of the bugs I've already encountered. But I think with just a few updates it can become very special in the simulator. The Flight model of this aircraft is excellent. No where is the "sponge" effect I feel with a lot of other addons. Combine that with a powerful soundest and great cargo animations, this aircraft is quickly going to become one of my personal favorites.
I hope AzurPoly will continue to update this aircraft as promised to really make it a true hidden (or not so hidden anymore) gem in #microsoftflightsimulator.

LOL As far as the mic audio, I went for full realism and incorporated the slight reverb tone you commonly hear in old airplanes with intercoms and tired headsets ;) jk I am aware, it was my headset mic. I didnt want to strip the entire audio and voice over. Look at it as a "added realism effect" lol

It won’t fly an outbound VOR course. The FMC doesn’t work, this plane has so many issues, but it is fun to fly. I wish they’d fix the sound issues as well. The textures in the cockpit are really basic. It would be nice if they’d have allowed the cargo to change based on type and weight, but they don’t and it doesn’t affect the plane at all. It’s kind of a trash plane, yet here we have yet another KZbin video claiming it’s fun and special.

I have to admit that I most of the time fly GA bush planes in MSFS and therefore have no idea how to program an FMC, or let's say, where to get the data from I have to enter. So it's not that bad for me to play around with VORs and learn how to navigate on them until AzurPoly implement a complete FMC. And if the time has come I just have to find somebody to tell me not only what, but why I enter this and that data ;D

nice! great intro, noticed a few on it but when i saw you made one i knew it must be good so i watched it; looks like a lot of fun. This would be great with AirHauler, or one of those types of sims. Other people have said the VOR behaviour is when you're tracking an outbound radial, inbound is fine. Seems to fit with this example?

I have yet to be able to transfer fuel from the reserve tanks to the A and B tanks...hope I am making a mistake and its not yet another bug!

13:50 IRL on C160, water-methanol injection make no difference in sounds. It doesn't add more power but (basically) re-establish theoretical max power when ISA is > +18°C.

Hi, I have bought Azurpoly C160 yesterday from Sim Maker but it does'nt work. I can't figure out what the problem is. The on-board tablet does not turn on. The APU switch button cannot be used, the systems cannot be started. It's like a demo version. Please help me out because I like to use this program. Maybe the registration key is missing ? I have not received any. I wonder why is it not working. It was to expensive if it 's a demo version. Please give us technical advise. Many Thanks in advance 10:06

Never heard of, unless you live in Europe where it was very common for decades. Transall is also the manufacturer, not the name of the aircraft, so it should be Transall C-160

Was more intended to mean never heard of in MSFS since its a new release and all the hype has been around the ATR...not necessarily real life. I've been aware of the C160 ever since I saw it perform a wingover at an airshow many years ago

here in germany it is colloquially known as the Transall which makes sense as they only ever made the c160

As far as gps capabilities go they are zero, might want to hold out for a future update if that’s what you are looking for. They should be implemented in the future
