The puzzling thing about that breaker popping is: If all the other systems were still functioning, and no other breakers were popping, WHY did that breaker pop? What was causing the current to exceed what it could handle?

How does the mixture really work with a the turbo charged engine. I thought that below the turbocharger critical altitude, one kept the mixture full rich as the engine was still effectively receiving sea level pressurised air. Yet, I see that the power is measured by fuel flow and not by manifold pressure...how? why? Doesn't one need to use the EDM monitor to find the correct ROP or LOP point?

Here's an idea for the recorded stuff: How about checkrides on pilotedge? PPL through A320 sim checks. I think that'd be fun.

Hello, cmte. I'm following your KLGA/KPWM tutorial and learning a lot. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. The only problem I'm having is with the descent, where the speed controlled by the FMS goes into overspeed and the aircraft starts climbing to lose speed. The same happens with manual speed. Any tips?

I can’t remember what it is but you should be able to “widen” the gap where the detent is in the MCDU calibration. I sometimes have to pull a little extra sliding into climb from TOGA but not much. Haven’t bothered adjusting it again tho

Captain, I have a question: at 2:41:48 why does outer fuel transfer is on (necessary) ? To engage this do I have to press Xfeed (crossover) toggle in the Overhead panel ? Never seen it this before in any real flight?

I am having problems with the speedbreaks disarming themselves even with the button on the speed breaks set to do nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, has anyone found a solution? Xplane response curves didnt fix it.

As far as I have tried, in X-plane it’s can’t be bound. I’ve tried over and over. It does however work in MSFS the way it’s intended.

@@V1Sim Thank you for replying. I am not trying to use the button on the speed break lever. But when I set the lever axis to speed breaks, I cant keep the spoilers armed for take off and landing. I have the "s" key set to hold speed breaks armed on my keyboard. And nothing is bound to disarm the speed breaks. And yet the ground spoilers wont stay armed. Have you had the same problem ? Thanks, Matt

Great video. Just one thing, when you were explaining the difference between the glide slope and glide path, the color of the text should be opposite such that glide-slope should be green and glide path should be magenta.

Are you using one of the three red buttons on your Brunner yoke as PTT when speaking with ATC? I try the same but my CLS software disconnects during the flight from time to time if I use the button as PTT. My Brunner yoke and CLS software works fine without disconnecting if I don’t talk to ATC (not pressing the button during the flight)

The left side of the tablet picks what nav 1 source will be, and the right side of the tablet will pick the nav 2 source. Autopilot will only couple with nav 1 source only. It would be cool if we had an autopilot nav source selection where either nav 1 or nav 2 could be selected so the autopilot would couple with either one of the nav sources deepening on witch source was selected. From one pilot to another, you may have figured that out already, though. Most GA aircraft I have flown will only couple with nav 1 source anyways.. I'm with you, though, as an actual pilot, I really appreciate the fact that there are consequences to the black square aircraft. I like a lot of the other aircraft, don't get me wrong. I just don't like the fact that you can do just about anything without any real consequence or failure involved. Black square aircraft bring a new level of simulation in my opinion. One that's more true to life if you actually fly. I just really like the fact that there are consequences to not flying the aircraft appropriately according to procedures. As a pilot yourself, you would understand. Flying a real aircraft in reality is all about flying within the limitations. And there's just too many default aircraft that seem to have no limitations. If you know what I mean. 😆

4:25 sorry dude but that's an incorrect statement. People have money for all sorts of reasons, and these days wealth is extremely concentrated at the top end globally. There are less wealthy people alive who actually worked for their wealth today than since the 1920s or maybe even earlier. Billionaires shouldn't exist.

I’ve got a couple hundred hours in a T-Duke. I would NOT have wanted to lose an engine below 500’ on takeoff. The training that Rocket Engineering provided for engine failure on takeoff was to climb to 10,000’, set 1000 ft/lbs, pitch for blue line, and then pull an engine. It would literally almost snap roll. Your only hope was to pull the good engine to idle and land.

On your Brunner, when it behaves like that, go into cls2sim/autopilot and check "don't set position". Whichever axis is misbehaving. Some aircraft need that setting....Some don't...
