Rtings needs to stop saying things like Bravia 9 best mini led on the market lmao have you actually looked at it, your saying its the best simply because it costs a ridiculous amount. Sony tvs are over priced and perform like garbage. All you have to do is open your eyes and compare it to anyrhing it competes with side by side, The TCL QM8 blows it away.

@@bradsmith130 Well that´s your opinion. Sony isn´t garbage at all, it is still best in color accuracy and motion and upscaling and overall contrast. I myself owned a Sony, a low mid range one, the X900H, with only 24 dimming zones, and it still looks better than most other brands. The TCL punches highlights and blacks very well but accuracy and top notch image processing is another thing and on the side of Sony. But, if you like cheap candy, that´s fine. Enjoy your TCL. Returning my 83" LG G4 for the 85" Bravia 9. Why? #1: Vertical separation down the center of the screen (on some scenes). #2: PLEX TrueHD doesn't work on LG app which breaks video playback (yes, you can use a ShieldTV). Sony and AndroidTV doesn't have that problem and plays back properly. #3: I will inevitably get burn-in at some point due to using it as a large computer monitor for long periods of time.

I am unfortunately particularly sensitive to the text fringing caused by the triangular sub-pixel layout of QD-OLED. I immediately notice pink and green color fringing at the top and bottom edges of text, which is quite distracting. In contrast, the shadowing along the left or right edges of text on WOLED panels doesn’t bother me at all. As a result, I opted for the LG G4 over the Samsung Q90D. Fortunately, my G4 has minimal pink tint and no green tint. I'd love to enjoy the more vibrant colors and better uniformity of the QD-OLED panels, but my best TV of 2024 is the LG G4 because "visual comfort" is more important to me.

surprised not to see LG C4 here, is S90D better ?

S90d is much better

@@Wulfen2 what if it has WOLED panel instead of QD OLED
@armandosain7323Ай бұрын
@@Wulfen2Much better, don't be embarrassed by their test, they are the same, the same number of points, they lie to themselves
@Wulfen2Ай бұрын
@@armandosain7323 subjective points/ratings do not matter, what matters are the actual measured values in the tests. S90d has better color volume, color gamut, better viewing angles, gradient, brightness in HDR, sharpness of moving image, especially in games (only Samsung has game motion plus with low input lag). The only thing that C4 has better is Dolby Vision, but WRGB OLED in C4 is so weaker than S90d so that the image looks better on S90d despite the lack of DV
@Wulfen2Ай бұрын
@@rdcal Then both TVs will be similar. That's why you need to choose s90d with quantum dot.

Curious about Samsung or other brands budget options. I bought a Samsung gu55au6979 for example. 55inch for 400€ including all taxes. Recently it was on sale to make room for the next gen CU modell and only cost 330€ after taxes. Great price for such a large tv but how is the performance of these budget models from known brands.

The LG G4 had a SW update and now shows Ads. I wanted one, but that is a NO NO! 3k USD TV with ads....

I don’t like LEDs at all. They’re too dim. Give me a mini LED every day of the week.

Bought two TVs this year one for my living room one for my bedroom. TCL qm8 75" for the living room 800.00 Sony 900H 75" for the bedroom 400.00 TVs are amazing but don't get caught up in the hype save your money and wait a few years for older models. It's not worth the extra couple thousands you will waste.

A Hisense TV seems great but I'll never buy another one because of reliability

As usual, rare on a grand scale like this. I've got 3 in the house with no problem, and one of them was a display model too...no issues this far

At least in Europe they are including a 3 year extended warranty (so 5 years in total).
