yeah, get the LG C4 and enjoy DSE and OLED burning in less than a year or the Hisense with the color/white accuracy of a potato, and as reliable as a Chrysler the B7 isn't perfect, but I'd rather have poor viewing angles at 30+ degrees, than the B9/X93/X95L with Sony's X-Wide angle coat that is easily removed with a wet fabric, staining the screen permanently

lol at saying the Hisense is better for gaming when half its features don’t work in gaming mode and it’s motion handling is HORRIBLE.

Ok so I own the 75” Bravia 7. Coming from a 75x95g. I primarily use my TV for watching films on bluray (standard and 4k discs), streaming through all the standard apps and sport (4k when available). No gaming. I’ve calibrated it to Rtings recommendations but honestly out of the box it was pretty close. Does it have some reflection during the day when it’s full sunny, yes but it’s honestly not annoying or something that affects the viewing experience. Is there blooming, yes but honestly only if your really looking for it and when I say looking for it’s totally not a factor. Viewing angle isn’t that bad either. I feel like these things are big beat ups and really great to know but in real world factors not an issue. You can complain about the price but you’re buying the Rolls Royce of processing and brand imo. Accuracy and true to the directors content is what I’m all about and this is flawless! I’m not justifying my purchase, I got it super cheap through good contacts so I’m lucky but the tv is really amazing

Dear, i have sony tv, and the rating was good on ritings website, but during the updates on long times the ratings getting lowing on ritings website , was 8.1 now 7.9, so my question should i avoid updating the TV? Please advice.
@maxg3169

I think they readjust rating as time goes on, otherwise a 9.0 from 10 years ago would still be a 9.0 even though technology has advanced so much its more in line with an entry level 7.0 nowadays.

MediaTek (who make the SOC in Sony’s TVs, along with many other brands) have just announced a new chip that allows for all four HDMI ports to be HDMI 2.1 and will be in consumer TVs from 2025. So if having all four HDMI ports be 2.1 compatible is important to you then you might want to wait another year to upgrade.

A very RTINGS review, thanks! Seems like a solid mini-LED with all the Sony hallmarks BUT not the one to challenge OLEDs - that's U8N this year, if Hisense can manage to firmware-out the bugs and inaccuracies that is! Or perhaps Bravia 9 and its bl master-drive has something to say about that. 2024 has been pretty meh for OLEDs and I welcome this whole mini-LED resurgence!

Returning mine. Totally disappointed. Don't believe the good reviews. This tv isn't worth half what Sony is charging. Blacks are lame, viewing angle is pitiful and my 2 y.o. LG blows this away. I tried every adjustment and nothing makes this TV look good, let alone worth what Sony is charging. Mine is going back this weekend. Really bummed and won't be buying another Sony again. Even the processing is not better than my LG. 😢

As soon as I saw in store 🏬 at Bestbuy Last week 😮I was SHOCKED how significantly that Bravia 7 look 👀 Inferior than U8H that ppl can find on Market for Little cost ! U8H 160000:1 contrast . <500 zones seems like a 2021/2022 play, but Sony supposedly uses them better than TCL/Hisense. By contrast, TCL's 2024 QM8 probably has 1200+ zones on the 65" model (but numbers aren't everything).
@hafuridotus
@hafuridotus 11 сағат бұрын
I went into the store and saw the difference in how they use the zones. The TCL has a higher nit count than the X93L, but the image quality was lacking on the QM8 for both me and my SO. We went with the X93L instead.
@Yoga_Tv_buying

Dude QM8 Hisense r not tweaked in store . U8N has 4X contrast ratio of X93L😊. 5X dynamic contrast of X93L . It does NOT need extra processing . U8N has color density match Samsung QD-OLED S95C !😮 utter clean crisp just class . The brighter the tv is , the MORE dense of color we need to cast on image to look 3D vs tinty. Once takes 20 seconds adjusting it looks UTTER S95C . S93L is GREAT tv still I agree . 😊

I saw it in store I prefer X93L over Bravia 7. Hisense 2022 U8H 160000:1 contrast ratio Evan look significantly better than 2024 Bravia 7 100000:1 . N Bravia 7 is too fine Grain Matted glare . 😮 At least X93L is glossier even tho X93L has (low dynamic contrast ) issue has soft image . 😮

Unfortunately Sony stopped offering 55" versions of their highest-end LCDs years ago, so I knew not to expect a 55" Bravia 9. What stings even more is that, here in Europe, we don't even get the Bravia 7 in 55". So basically the message from Sony is that, if I want a 2024 Sony TV in 55", it's OLED or bust.
