I can attest to this keyboard being amazing! It has completely replaced ALL my other ipad mini 6 cases. Great review and synopsis. Without an apple pencil case, you can wrap the flap just fine although I never really use the flap. Thankfully, the flap snaps behind the case. Love all the magnets on this thing, it's really well thought out. Great keycap spacing, good clicky feel, RGB backlit keys, and an very stiff hinge that is perfect for writing. I just use a magic trackpad to the side if I need to use the trackpad feature, and I agree that the keyboard is worth not having the trackpad to be able to be this comfortable. I did not know about being able to put it on the fridge -- thanks for showing!

I ordered this keyboard a little more than a month ago and finally got it two days ago. The typing experience is just as you reviewed, the best I’ve encountered so far. The one thing I’m not a fam of, is the “breathing keyboard light mode” its quite annoying. I got tit to switch of and for some reason it keeps reverting. Other than that, it’s a great feel. (Using it right now on a flight) 😊

What is the keyboard you show with the trackpad? What is the best keyboard case for mini gen 6 you recommend that also has a trackpad? It would have to charge usb c to c good point in ever knew it was a thing that the originating port has to be a type

Probably what I call the premium one. That one has the best trackpad. Or the one by doqo is decent. A bit heavy, best build quality. There really isn’t the best of both worlds with the mini 6.

Hi I followed the link in the description, however I see a different keyboard. The amazon link brought me to a Souyoyihi keyboard with trackpad, while the aliexpress link to Split Magic Keyboard, which also has trackpad. Is the link correct? The one you reviewed doesn't have trackpad and I'd like to purchase one. Update: I have purchased the one from aliexpress. The images on the website are misleading, but it's possible to choose different ipad version. The amazon link however is still the wrong one. Update (Jan 2023): It arrived earlier than ETA. 1) Overall quite heavy. 3) Still find it difficult to type conveniently on it (although I don't have big hands). 4) The iPad is not easy to take out from the case. This is annoying for me because I need to be able to change the case fast and easy so that I can put on the lightweight case I have, when I don't need the keyboard. 5) The case, which also functions as a stand, is quite heavy for long use (I bought the iPad Mini for its lightweight). 6) My conclusion: my Logitech K380 is much better to type on.

2:50, having the sides stick out also helps protect the device in a drop.

I am not too sure. Maybe if you spray a little bit in a damp cloth, it should be all right as long as you don’t like go overboard with the spray .

somehow the metal or hard lining inside the hole where the bottom case magnet supposed to sit got cracked and eventually crumbled away, so everytime when I tried to open or close the hinge the top case would detached rather than moving the hinge.

And sorry for all the questions at once but do you think that this could be balanced on your knee or in your lap while sitting without a table, my use case at work is I am in medicine and often take notes when doing patient intake while sitting at bedside Especially in the ER there’s not usually a table

It could, but it’s a little bit awkward with the hinge. Honestly your best bet would be to get the one from doqo for 100$. It’s the best one for your lap. It’s a bit heavy, but has a trackpad with all the gestures. Just a little small.

The only downside of that one is , it takes a while to get used to it, because it’s off centered, they merged the a with the caps lock. Besides that, it’s scissor switch and chicklet

I have this and the magnets that connect the keyboard are definitely not that strong, the rest of them however are pretty strong. It's also pretty heavy just using it as a tablet and uncomfortable to hold in portrait mode, nothing sticks out on those sides. The keyboard is definitely less cramped than the green law one though.

I noticed that too at first- however upon closer inspection i realized both magnetic strips have a thin film over it, so once I removed them it certainly feels stronger. Hope that helps you!

Honestly what I call that, there are like a million version of it, just rebranded. They are all the same. Portrait mode, you could rest it, but the magnets won’t hold it up.

It’s always up to personal preference. I would rather have one with the best keyboard, because I can always use my own mouse that is a little bit more precise, instead of carrying around a big, bulky keyboard.

@linaa.carrillobulla4093 Well I can agree at some point with you, but I have an apple pencil and having a track pad not completely but kills purpose of it so I will stick with a keyboard case without the track pad because my hands are big and it is hard to type on such a small keyboard, but again I agree with you because it is not so big difference between the size of the keys but you get the track pad in the end as well.

The only one that comes close is the bk08, but it doesn’t have the ability to connect to multiple devices. The first one might there are two revisions, I believe the first one might the one with micro USB.

I just don't want to run into an issue where bluetooth stops working/lags due to interference (I'd be using this around lots of other bluetooth devices and I've had name brand bluetooth boards be unreliable in those situations)
