@@excursor4296 It looks like when it was buffed to shoot 50 projectiles, someone typed in a "0" for spread instead of "10" (that change was not in patch notes). They reverted that to 10. With a 0 spread, it was quite strong, but you had to be surrounded as it only hit 1-2 ranks deep into formations. I do think that 10 spread is too high and it should split the difference to a 3 - 5.

The Medusa's also gotten a massive glow-up from this change, their ranged attack is arguably the strongest in the game right now. I melted some poor chorf shields in two volleys from a single volley. They're actually insane.

Yeah stupid medusa wrecked my dawi garrison when I was being invaded by high elves, that said it's also quite a glass-cannony unit that goes down quickcly so I don't find it unbalanced

End of video edit, I’m pretty sure soul grinders sell themselves to the forge so once they die they’re screwed hard and no longer exist, no chips and dip for that fella only damnation of the void

They absolutely do still exist; daemons cannot be permanently killed. If a Soul Grinder is killed before it can acquire the required number of souls then the Daemon bound within will be offered another reincarnation as a Soul Grinder, but at a much steeper cost. It's basically an inescapable cycle of debt. They're not selling themselves to the Forge of Souls per se, they are selling their services, so all the souls they reap and machinery they destroy goes to the Forge and if the Forge is ever attacked they have to come to its defence regardless of their previous loyalties.

Soul Grinders are demons that were killed in combat. Their souls get stuffed into the mech things and they have to kill enough creatures until they are allowed to go back into their regular bodies again

Think Turin has banned these grinders in his tourneys for now, I guess we'll see if CA tones them down abit or not... as it is the tzeentch one is so far ahead of the rest with the nurgle one being a good second...and the other two being relegated to warming the bench.

@@ProduccionesPaquito 15 shots, which each can take out almost half the health of an infantry unit (even from the front, no need to shoot from the side) + melee. It's definitely very very strong and kinda anti-everything, that's kinda the problem...

The exalted hero of tzeench is completely busted on a chariot. For some reason they get better melee stats than the other exalted heroes, and an ability that gives 10 ma 10 md lategame. Combined with the golden eye they almost always survive until lategame. Then they are chariots with 15 bvi and colossal strike for large and 50 ma and 40 md!

Fun battle but. You're throwing so damn hard if you don't bring a caster especially as tzeentch. Make room for it. You lose out on so much value. Even if it's just blue/pink fire it would have been worth three times the infantry needed to afford it.

Yo Indy not sure if you would be interested in casting a super close 1v1 I had with Asseror (One of the best Russian Players) in Attila/Rome 2. This was a modded LOTR Tournament one of the first Dawnless Days Tournaments. Came down to 70 men on both sides. Was a battle of the Cav factions Rohan vs Harad.

Yeah Tzeentch being the Halberd faction in this game and their melee hero and lord being given the Halberds kind of just makes them hard counters to all lords. You nearly always want your lords and heroes on mounts in MP at least so its pretty rough. and of course they can also get flying disc mounts so you can't even really escape to the sky.

Just because Tzeentch is mostly known for his magic doesn't mean his warriors are weak in melee. In the Gotrek&Felix series, Arek Demonclaw, a champion of Tzeentch, defeats Gotrek in a 1 vs 1 and is only killed in the end due to another slayer sacrificing himself to distract him for the one second Gotrek needs to go for the killing blow.

When people complain about this change, I can't help but ponder would they like cannons to only ever have laser beam line accuracy? I think it's a good change to the game. Less range and ammo than cannons and a lot more expensive, just makes a hybrid unit actually hybrid in my mind.

Not sure how is this relevant? Cannons (unlike the soul grinder) can actually miss completely (this change doesn't make the soul grinder less accurate, just aims the shorts into the whole unit, not just one line) and they deal way less dmg to infantry. And cannons cannot do anything else then shoot so they better be good at it. So except range the soul grinder is actually kinda better then cannons at shooting (at least universally) and also can melee very well.

@@kubka4 True quite possibly, but the soul grinder still misses (even in this video). The soul grinder is much more expensive than cannons though correct? And with the smaller ammo count as a universal unit you need it to do the hits/damage. Don't cannons average 15-20 dead men on infantry and about 6 on cavalry as well? Do apologise brain is a little rusty but can't you get 2 cannons for 1 soul grinder? (thanks for the response, love seeing other views I might of missed)

@@crisisgear It does miss but rarely, because his missiles have homing. Cannons are definitely cheaper but super squishy... You can't kill soul grinder by one spell/random warhound unit sneaking up to it. Especially in land battles soul grinder is so much easier to keep alive to use up all the ammo than cannons. I don't think cannons use all their ammo usually (some die almost instantly). But yes, if you try hard and protect the cannons properly they might do more damage collectively among the 2 units you can get for the soul grinder. But cannons not always get their value back, the soul grinder almost always after the change (sometimes doubling it even)

@@crisisgear I'm not any expert on MP since all my knowledge comes from watching MP channels, so it's hard for me to say how to balance it... The problem with decreasing the amount of missiles is that it would diminish its original purpose - anti-large shooting.

I wonder if the khorne grinder has any role to play in battles. I know the Slaanesh one is a full CC fighter, Nurgle one is for cleaning chaff, Tzeencht ine is very balanced. What does the khorne one do?

Generalist fighter with short range precursor shots... but nobody really brings it since it doesn't really do anything the whole army can't do already.

I bring it to chase skirmishers. It fires while chasing things so that can help when people try to kite my khorne build
