The BEST ULTRALIGHT Rod for Trout Fishing! Okuma Celilo!

I recently got a St. Croix Trout Series Ultra Lite, it's definitely my favorite rod currently. I do have the Okuma Celilo but its a 9' Medium Heavy - it's my pier fishing rod for lakers.

I bought the same rod last year. I have the okuma ceymar reel. I think it’s a 1000. Smooth reel and nice feeling rod for the money. The whole setup was under $100. Works just like the $300 setups do. lol.

Just purchased this rod in 5'6" 1 piece, and gonna pair it with a sienna 2000 series. Hopefully it feels nice! Great Video!

What reel did you use in this video? New to fishing and looking for ultralight set up and is it the panfish pak spinners you use?

I wouldnt suggest the reel I have in this video I would get a 1000 size shimano sienna and then the panfish pack spinners would work good otherwise these exact ones are just 1/8oz spinners🤘🏻

@@MP_Fishing_what size of this rod would you recommend? I usually catch around 5-10lb at my spot. And is there even a difference between the lengths or is it preference?

@@chunkobunko longer rod further casting. That rod is an Ultra-light. Which would handle those fish just fine with the right drag adjustment on the reel. Otherwise if you are worried you could move up to a medium strength rod

You're new to fishing and you're catching 5-10 fish ? You might wanna go a step above a ultralight. Maybe at least a med rod with a 2000 series reel. The Lews American Hero 2000 is a great , smooth and fast reel for the money. The Okuma Ceymar is a reel that I've just bought. The sizes come a bit smaller , but the drag is very good.
