ive been really looking for something with ceruledge, the tera dark idea is super cool. not only does it make you good into the psyspam pieces, but youre also looking strong into lilligant torkoal especially if you take goggles as your item, shuts down the hisui typhlosion whimsicott builds, and honestly should even be good into a lot of the common balance pieces. walls out volcarona, dark tera lets you resist kingambits sucker punch and you can then setup alongside it or simply send bitter blades and very positive against the rillabooms being a fire type immune to fake out. definitely gonna throw something together with this

I feel like Gastrodon is a really good 6th slot for some team, especially if the basculegion/archaludon water teams going to be popular. Because Gastrodon is basically hard countering the core. Basculegion can’t touch it and Archaludon needs to use steel moves or draco meteor which don’t do that much if Gastro is built as defensively. It’s also decent into Dondozos, so yeah Gastro is probably a great piece for some cores.

the flamethrower body press kommo-o is definetly interesting. so far kommo is doing really well on my perish trash teams, so this might be a really good way to also deal with ghold since perish teams usually struggle vs ghold. it's cooking time.

I would love to know what you’re cooking with perish trap, I was thinking about pairing Soundproof Kommo-o with Gothitelle and some Perish Song users but wasn’t sure who synergized best.

@@zachybeats I can't say the entire team (last 2 mons) because i could never really get the last 2 to feel consistent (or maybe it was just me) but my core was Kommo-o, Goth, Polteod and Archaledon. the 4 synergize pretty well together and having rain during kommo going tera steel really helps and the free electro spatk boosts arch gets is greats. Sun is pretty common so i figured rain would help this team a lot. Edit: Rilla could also be a problem, so i calced my Poli with Rindo berry to tank a wood hammer from rillaboom (though i don't remember at the moment if it was calced for AV max atk rilla or miracle seed rilla). the rindo berry is probably weird and i could have went sitris or cov (covert cloak), but i felt like i didnt really need sitris or it would have changed much and i could play around not having cov. Since i want to try this with kommo having flamerthrower (and maybe going tera fire this time around for flamethrower stab and prevent burn), i gotta remove poli and going prima atm. have yet to figure out the rest of the team.

@@fluffyruff7453 that’s a cool setup, didn’t think about going with Archaludon! The version I played around with had Sinistcha for healing onto Kommo-o plus a second trick room option, and Kinggambit to resist Dark types that Sinistcha and Gothitelle don’t like. I had Primarina on mine too because my Kommo-o was Tera Fire with Flamethrower, but I’m struggling to find a 6th that helps the team flow. Right now it feels too reliant on Trick Room so I’m thinking something with some speed, maybe a Focus Sash or Choice Scarf user.

Responding to the question of whether anyone has been able to make Braviary work: I've reached Top 100 with it on in-game ladder, so as a result, yes I think it can be very good and successful. As you said, it needs help from its team, but it also is a great help for its own team, such as punishing Incineroar when it comes in to counter Gholdengo. Braviary takes advantage of many popular top Pokemon, the rest of the team needs to make sure you can still beat Pokemon that are not Braviary's targets.

surprised at no garganacl tbh, it feels great into the top steel threats e.g gholdengo thanks to wide guard + purifying salt and archaludon with salt cure chip. It can also win unfavourable positions vs fire water grass with tera dragon recover

I think more people should talk about Swampert. I see Gastrodon getting the love that should go to him. Sure you dont have storm drain but you have access to wide guard and many similar tools like yawn and Earth Power which is really nice in this meta. I wonder how a Bulk Up Physical Set would do... 🤔

Ceruledge is so close to being good it hurts. It has great special defense in a format thats very special, but it just really wants to hold something that isnt clear amulet. I think AV would be so good, if Incin wasnt around.
