The new Speak No Evil is great! It's almost shot-for-shot the same as the original at first, but then it takes its own turns and you find yourself at the edge of your seat wondering how they're going to end the story. You should definitely give it a chance :)

Of these offerings, I look most forward to experiencing The Substance. I have read about people choosing to leave the theater only 20 minutes in. I have read that it is fantastically gory, exceedingly difficult to watch. And, among Demi Moore's best. Ever. Now, I don't know if that's true or not. I was born in the '70's, grew up during the '80's, and found my own in the '90's. Demi Moore starred in St. Elmo's Fire; she starred in the fun, but utterly ridiculous GI Jane... incidentally, I recall my SEAL buddy detailing Demi Moore showing up at a SEAL reunion at Little Creek; surrounded by tough-looking dudes w/guns; yet surrounded by long-time SEAL operatives who collectively laughed at the efforts to make her look tough. It failed to convince anyone within the community. No Frogman would ever. Anyway, that's the one I want to see most. After, perhaps, Nick Cage in Longlegs.

I was never the same again after that movie. I saw it in 1980 when I was 10 y.o and it was the first horror movie I'd ever seen. My mum made me curtains for my bedroom windows after that because I jumped with fright every time I saw my reflection. Great movie based on a novel by Stephen King. I would suggest people watch the original over the new one.

I loved Azrial, Never Let Go, and especially loved that they switched the ending on Speak No Evil! Front Room was disgusting but a good watch, Afraid was a good go to watch, I cannot wait to watch Nosferatu! Here After was kind of dull, Cuckoo was great and really different. And The Substance was amazing! So was Apartment 7A! Im looking forward to see Salems Lot and The Radleys. . . But The Terrifier IDK, I haven't seen any of them, just kind of set offish for me. Did anyone especially like the Terrifier??

I honestly don't think I will watch even 1/4 of these supposed "BEST" Horror movies. In fact I didn't find even half to be scary enough and would probably just waste my time. But to be fair I'll think that and in 2 or 3 years I'll finally watch it and really like it and by then I'll have forgotten that I had watched its trailer and thought so negatively about it. Oh my god there are no words for Azrael what a boring movie I honestly didn't feel any affinity with any of the cast 2/10, I really liked The Substance and Cuckoo was neither bad nor good, irrelevant to me, but I got excited when I saw Its Name Was Mormo, I love the genre and it really excites me, although it has a bit of The Blair Witch feel to it and a bit of Paranormal Activity I think they have innovated and haven't let the found footage style die

The Bagman was also a serial-killer in Brazil who used the same modus operandi to steal kids. Many were his victims till he was caught. He used a bag where he put the kids and took to his house where he SA them and k.ill.ed them.

Go see The Substance - it's phenomenal!! Never Let Go is also pretty decent. The Front Room was a let-down but not as goddam awful as AfrAId was. Speak No Evil is great uncomfortable fun too!

I saw Speak No Evil 2022 & was disappointed in the stupid couple. I hope they made them a bit '' smarter '' in the 2024 movie. I watched The Beast Inside last night & man was it slow & boring. The first two you mentioned are on my watch list. Thanks again.

@@sergecrevier4196 Oh man... The Beast Inside was sooo boring! The Front Room has bee marketed as a horror movie but it's not horror at all, not even a thriller. It's like a dark drama with comedy elements but not that good. Worth watching once for Kathryn Hunter's bizarre performance but watch on streaming. Speak No Evil...the husband is even worse in the remake, a total wet letruce but his wife is brilliant, a strong smart intelligent woman. It's got a different vibe to the kriginal and the ending is totally changed, very suspensful. Shame you didn't enjoy Cuckoo, i thought it was highly original and I enjoyed it a lot. Blink Twice is another good thriller from this year tk see if you haven't already?
