Agreed. Anything, actually. If there exists a US-made version of a thing I need (aside from electronics, there’s a US-made version of damn near everything), that’s the version I buy. No one without a degree has a decent job anymore because we’re all too inconsiderate to spend another couple bucks to buy American and keep our money and jobs here, where they’re desperately needed.

I’m the same way, but then I got my hands on a we knife co. Gentry knife, it is beautiful made quality knife. And I kinda came to conclusion , cant throw the baby out with the bath water. Other countries still have high quality products. But I agree I still try to buy mainly us made when possible. I definitely avoid cheap Chinese knock offs, hard to do nowadays though lol

I'm not much of a patriot myself, to be fair. But I'm european, so it really doesn't matter here. I had my Benchmade 940-1 imported here because it's the best d**n knife I've ever seen. Useful, beutiful, perfect. Also insanely expensive, because of the VAT, but I don't care. No regrets here, I've used it as an ECD for 3 years now, and I will continue to do so.

I’ve gone from the knife on a wine opener and basic Swiss Army knife from Boy Scouts to a benchmade 940 with 530v steel and the short non serrated Kbar fighting/utility knife. . Best edc I’ve ever had and love the classic kbar upgrade.

The Spyderco Native 5 Salt is the perfect summer knife. Very light in thin shorts and the blade steel chuckles off sweat, humidity, rain and the ill effects of swimming with a knife in your pocket. Easy to find when it's dropped on a hike. High flat grind makes it super slicey. Here's to Spyderco doing more of their knives in LC200n!

@@dieseldabz7104 It's douable if the world stops ignoring the atrocities that China is doing. If a company sends ALL it's manufacturing to China you just stick massive import tariffs on their products. Sure the customer might be the one caught paying for it but after my grandfather made it back from killing germans in WW2 the world said "Never again" after seeing the atrocities that were committed and guess what China is running the same kinds of camps today that the germans were then and they need to be knocked down.

I am late to the party but the 940 is a great blade with tons of utility. The reverse tango seems weird at first but you get a long blade, good geometry, and a TON of tip strength. My 940 has been used hard for 6 years and still is kicking ass. Sent in to Benchmade last week for a new blade since my shiny 9400 was making the scratched up blade look rough. Keeping the scales though, they have that great "lived in" look.

I like those new bucks with the pocket clip and thumb stud. I have some of the knives on the table the bugout was my only edc for months working outside and it actually has been great very sliced no chips or rolled edges, until you carry it edc for a while you don’t know what you’re missing it has a great deep carry pocket clip that is out of the way while using. The only reason to carry something else is to carry something bigger. I was carrying a cold steel spartan the most bc its a giant bang for the buck knife, cut boxes, tape, chop tree limbs outdoors, or pry a f350 hood open lol strong lock great handle with a giant slab of aus10 for less then 70 bucks and it’s razor sharp

I love the smooth operation of a ZT. However I prefer a D2 tool steel over S35VN all day long. Why they built a knife around this steel is beyond me. After carrying two different ZT's for the last 9 months, I find myself carrying the Leak more often to simply impress my fellow coworkers on it's sharpness and edge retention. Even using the Wicked Edge to sharpen, S35VN will never again be in a future purchase.
@masonrains50103 жыл бұрын
Are you dillusional? S35vn is a lot harder than d2 and that’s probably why you had a hard time sharpening it.s35vn will have way better edge retention and corrosion resistance than d2 but it is not as tough as d2.
