I have a 2020 CX30 and i will never sit in the backseat. People in the back are on their own. I would also rather have the 6 speed trans then any of the othed transmissions out there. Especially those CVT trans which have been nothing but trouble. This is my 2nd Mazda. I had a 2008 Mazda 3 for 12 yrs and never a problem. Same as my CX30.

I own the Turbo Premium. Great car on smooth road. Absolutely awful on any kind of bumps or slightly rough road.

You did mention it but I still love those reviewers that are extremely tall and complain about the lack of space in the second row. The average height in most countries is in the range or below 175 cm. CX 30 can easily accommodate four people of that size without any issues and without it feeling cramped at the back. I'm couple of cm's longer than this average and even with my driving position there's no problem to fit people of my size on the back. I do wish it would be a bit longer like Crosstrek but it's not as bad as some reviewers make it out to be.

I just purchased a 2023 Carbon. I am 5' 9" and honestly I am shocked how comfortable and roomy the back seat is for people around my height, given all the whining in reviews about how small it is. To me I find this vehicle to be a very practical size. It's just me, the wife and a medium sized dog. Yeah, if you have kids with hockey gear, etc, you'll want a bigger vehicle. But as an everyday commuter, it's a homerun!

@@robjackson606 Yes. I have the 3 Turbo and all of the whining is annoying. I am a vertically challenged 5' 7" and fit just fine, and can sit behind myself. It seems like a lot of reviewers are above average in height.

My dream is to finance the carbon edition! I test drove it once and absolutely loved it! Even though no Bose sound system, I’m sure there are ways to work around that.

Try and get one with the bose, maybe a used CX-30 Turbo or N/A Premium before they removed the Bose in that trim. It is by far the best sound system available in the segment, and is frankly one of the best out there, in my opinion.

Really nice car but it's a shame they only have "leatherette" seats. Living in Arizona, leather and its alternatives are an awful option in the heat. Give me cloth seats any day.

@@johnkonde1975 well, enjoy your sweat-soaked back and butt! I've got leather right now and hate it. It's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It also requires special treatment to keep it in good shape over the years. Other than spot-cleaning here and there, I've never had to do anything other than vacuum cloth seats.
