Yes! The smokiness threw me for a moment. Sucre Noir has been on my list to try, I’m going to check that one next!

When I first tried it, the smoky note was very prominent and put me off as it was very noticeable on my skin("vanilla ashtray" is what I called it). But it grew on me and I ended up buying a bottle and now I love it and somehow the smoky note on my bottle is not as strong as on the decant I had first. Kayali to me is even more linear than Tihota somehow, even my husband responds better to Tihota. Similar ones that I have bottles of or decants are Ligne St Barth Vanille West Indies, Sucre Noir, Mazzolari Vaniglia, Helwa Ahwaz. Great review! I agree that one does not need all of them as many are very similar.

Vanille 28 is so Smokey on me and I hate it! I’m looking for a more feminine vanilla do you think this is it? I got pink sugar which is the perfect sweetness but it smells so synthetic and cheap :(

I bought vanilla 28 blind because I wanted something for layering but it smells so woody and masculine in me :( do you think this is a better option. I want the sweet vanilla without the masculine heavy scent to layer with my gourmand scents that don’t last on on me xx
