@ Glad someone recognizes that 10 kills doesn't necessarily mean skill. Getting repeat results is the hard part, which is why im not out to prove that the vb10 is the best 4.0 in the game. It's not. But i had fun with it.

The removal of proxy score mechanics was a disaster for the playerbase (I'm not even joking). You don't get paid for teamplay these days. Truly disappointing.

@AvarWarThunder they really need to up the rewards for teamplay. This is ground but help with repairing doesn't give you shit and sometimes you sit there for a while

@@milky3494 Thankfully the rewards overall are better than ground, even if teamplay score got removed years back. I understand why ground is popular because it's way easier to get into than air, but Gaijin needs to respect my time if they want me to more than toy around with the mode. If I could grind tanks faster i'd probably play them when I'm bored with air RB, instead of other games.

Someone else asked this question. Here is the answer. What you do is set them up while in the hanger. Go to the Controls, switch to full real mode in the little tab bar, and set your keybinds. Then go back to mouse aim. the engine control keybinds you set will now work while you are in mouse aim controls mode.

While I haven't played the VB.10 much, I can say it's pretty mediocre in everything. Doing well is as much about your skill as it is about the enemies' lack of skill lol. It does seem that I need to get the guns upgraded sooner rather than later, though Anyways, good gameplay, and thanks for the explanations, specifically about aiming in a head-on o7

I also happen to like flying the F-84B-26 a lot. Just not being saddled with the bad teams and uptiers that come with it. Will put F-84 on my list. Unfortunately, that list is VERY rapidly getting longer

@ That would be the F-84F if you're thinking of RB BRs. The F-84B is 7.0 and, while still lacking lowspeed acceleration, is pretty potent with the airspawn in early jets. I already have footage of dealing with props in it, I'd just have to backtrack to get that and then combine it with fresh footage. i got a 9 kill game in it once but unfortunately that was before I started recording for youtube.

I have flown it and I don't actually like it that much. This is because me and MG 151 don't have a good relationship, as well as the general brickiness of the plane and lack of lategame potential. Perhaps things would've been different if i hadn't gotten into the groove of flying P-38L, but most of my sessions in the A-8 are extremely mid.

@AvarWarThunder I have the exact opposite experience. I love the excellent role rate, and the plane doesn't compress until you go past 700kph. The mg151s aren't the best, but stealth belts make them actually viable. It's definitely a bit of a brick. People say it should be at 4.7 because it can't compete with many of the other airspawn props in terms of flight performance, but the problem is that some of these other airspawn planes are just under tiered (P38L, XP50 etc.)

@@josephbubash1662 I am in no position to argue about it because i have played far too many games in Me 410 A-1/U2, which is essentially the same thing without the rollrate that makes the A-8 actually good. I've had this conversation before with a lot of great pilots and my take on it is that the plane is okay but it simply doesn't work for me.

Currently collecting footage on why Spitfire F Mk IX doesn't live up to the hype also I have a video on the biggest mistakes that get turnfighters killed as a script in my files, so that might be coming down the schedule.

OK, to answer the question that I didn't answer in the last comment, I really do not find the turnfighter game loop enjoyable. If the enemy turns with you, then you get to win. If they don't turn with you, or you get ganged up on because you're too slow to escape unfavorable situations, you die. There is not a lot of nuance to this. Yes, you can get more kills per game using target priority, you can keep yourself alive more using situational awareness, and you can have fun by getting into the enemy's heads and messing with them. But at the end of the day i hate being in the slower plane and I REALLY hate having worse energy retention.

@@theroyaldrake0514 You really should try three planes: Ki-44-II and Ki-84. Both don't have the turnrate of the zero, but in compensation they have good energy and speed for their BRs. You also should try the J2M2 if you haven't already. That thing gets spitfire F Mk IX levels of turnrate with the flaps, but much better climbrate. It's a fun bird so check it out.

Sounds good to me! After all is said and done, I'm just a lowly ground player, so a bit of sky-high thinking might give me something new to try. I've heard a bit about the J2M2, and wound up lucking out and have the premium J2M5. I don't have much trigger discipline, so I haven't gotten much playing with it in, but I cannot help but say it feels good to use it's APHE to blast the light vehicles in the test fly maps.

i actually didnt fight that many Either they die in headons like chumps or go for bombers. The slight majority of the time. Not fun to fight but it helps that the avg. XP-50 player is going into cold sweats on a 2 kill game.
