IMO, Carreras’ Non Piangere, Liu is vastly superior in the ‘77 recording with Caballe and Freni.

How can I tell if this is the best interpretation of Non Piangere Liu when I can barely hear the dramatic high note of the aria over the orchestra? 🤔

Must listen to Franco Corelli. A full 2 - 3 seconds longer at the climax while banging gongs around the stage in a completely relaxed state.
