Nice Energy--glad we're not the only ones trying to keep youtube exciting!

***** and you respond to comments--another rarity we take pride in! Keep up the awesome work, we did a blind vodka tasting (including a brita filtered vodka in the mix) and it's always nice to see some of the cheaper brands doing well against the "ultra premium" brands. Personally, if I have to picka vodka, I'd go with Ivanabitch but...if I get to pick a spirit I'd replace rum with the vodka as I find rum much more enjoyable overall.

***** Yeah, we've not had any TV exposure (thus we've got fairly modest subscriber base), but I take our work serious and am always looking for ways to improve. We take a bit of a "common man generalist" approach to our content, trying to make sure people are not intimidated, but we've helped get many folks jobs in the industry, have inspired at least five other channels to try their hand at cocktail how-to shows, etc. So, I'm feeling good about it. If you have any questions on the KZbin concepts, getting better in search, etc. please let me know, I've been posting five to seven shows a week since 2008 so I've had some road time on it. There is definitely some space for cross-promotion, one of the biggest youtube growth suggestions is cross promoting and collaborating on channels to gain exposure.

+Thirsty With A Twist I added you. You need to go to the channel main page and there should be an edit bar icon in the top right corner. Trying to figure out if that was a module I had to add...as I see it has a "remove module" option so presumably there are other modules that can be added.

I like bouncing around between liquor. At heart I love my whiskey especially bourbon. But I have drank the hell out of vodka though. And I have found a love for him as well. My go to vodkas are Luksusowa, Sobieski, Chopin, Russian Standard and Russian Standard Platinum, and American Harvest.

Well actually as a fact grey goose is filtred only 2 times ...
@acuratl629 жыл бұрын
+simon zouein Grey goose is a very middle of the line vodka. It has a legion of fans that swear by it. Actually ran a blind taste test on vodka back in the winter. Out of 22 brands , grey goose came 17th. Once the premium bottle was removed from view it was an honest test. 3 of the testers who only drink goose, all picked it last in its category , straight up, and in a martini. One couldn't finish her drink and swore it was iceberg vodka. We retested her later to see if it was a fluke and again she picked iceberg over goose. Never judge a book by its cover. To be fair, we picked very good vodka's. i never bought one that i thought people would hate.
my top 3: 1.Grasovka (poland), 2.Finlandia (finland), 3.Russian Standard (Russia)

acuratl62 yeah.. I’m back to Stoli and Absolute... TJ’s Manipavola is good too
@Dirkschneider6 жыл бұрын
So much bullshit. I have seen and read so many different vodka tests now and it is totally random if a premium vodka wins or not. Apart from badly filtrated vodkas I would not be buying an expensive vodka just to sit there and sip and trying to convince myself that this was the superior choice and that I have the most refined of tastebuds.

Dirkschlemiel: Is there any taste/quality difference between scotches? bourbons? Gins? Tequilas? Or course there is, moron, and there is in vodkas too. That said, you can find a bargain quality liquor in any booze category... Teacher's scotch, Evan Williams bourbon, Olmeca Altos tequila... Sobieski vodka... to name a few.
@Dirkschneider6 жыл бұрын
Vodka = ethanol + water + shit you don't want in your vodka. The less "shit you don't want in your vodka" the purer (better) the vodka is. Your premium vodkas has no added flavours that makes your vodka taste better and that makes great vodkas very different from other liquors where you often try to have your own flavour. Standard vodkas like Smirnoff is good enough and it is obvous that most people cannot taste the difference. Try it yourself. Buy a bottle of Smirnoff and 5 premium vodkas and try to consistently guess which vodka is not 'premium' in repeated blind tests. Good luck with that!
@GeorgeKnew6 жыл бұрын
Goofy argument... In 2005 New York Times did a blind tasting of 21 world-class vodkas, which ranked Smirnoff the “hands-down favorite.” The Huffington Post also did a test which Smirnoff won... though against only 4 others. So there is nothing wrong with some inexpensive vodkas... Sobieski is less $$$ than Smirnoff and one outfit rated it a "93" ($6.99/750ml) Potato, corn, wheat and grape vodkas all taste different. Which vodka(s) do YOU believe are additive free?
@Dirkschneider6 жыл бұрын
They all taste differently but the whole point of premium vodkas is to get RID of as much of the impurities in the vodka that creates these differences in taste in the first place. I myself have no preference in pure vodka since I think vodkas are better with a mixer in cocktails. All I ask is that it doesn't taste of fuselol. I have never been of the opinion that drinking ethanol straight up is a sensation of the tastes.
@GeorgeKnew6 жыл бұрын
I drink vodka with pure water, on the rocks. There are significant differences in flavor... if you are inexperienced, pig-headed or don't get around much fine. Try to keep your uninformed opinions to yourself. You should stick with Popov... very little flavor and for the price, a very decent vodka. Since you don't notice any flavors in vodka, using anything else would be foolish. Ethanol straight up... LOL... what a clown. No more chit-chat... I've wasted enough time with you.

this video doesn't tell me shit about top shelf Vodka. More like a Service Announcement about Vodka then giving what would be nice to the palette. Now Jason Horn's video about bottom shelf vodka was informative. Wish he would do one for top shelf.
