The only Order warband I have painted up so far is a Stormcast Sacrosanct Chamber warband so Hexbane's doggos and the Cities of Sigmar battle priests both interest me as a potential source of chaff to improve their activation economy a bit. The doggos are also fast and the battle priests are pretty tanky for 65 points so both potentially have some value beyond being cheap.

You sir are going to bankrupt me. Because now i need to get new minis. Thanks for these vids. Would be keen to see if you can get the nighthaunts to be competitive...and yes I did watch your nighthaunt video already
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
I've actually been playing Nighthaunt in the Feb TTS casual league and they have gone 2 wins 1 draw - It's a somewhat unorthodox list using Deintalos (my original intention was to run 4x Spirit Hosts but that idea quickly fell apart) but I did record a couple of the games which I'm currently editing into actual watchable videos :)

@@OffMetaMusings im surprised you didn't include any deadwardens as most of the lists I've seen and battle reports I've heard usually has at least one of them. Have you considered the Briar Queen for your list?
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
The list itself is; Briar Queen 2x Spirit Hosts Deintalos Coyl Bault Vlash Ione

I would have mentioned the cheap chaff Haskel Hexbane also brings. With him costing 125 and having two dogs that are 55 each he can fill that same "chaff package" role cheaper then Kixi-taka can.
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
I've messed around with trying to get those dogs in to bring the numbers up but I never managed to get the points to work correctly due to *just* taking Haskel and Pock with his strength bonus coming in at 290 for the two fighters vs Kixi'Taka and 2 of his skinks at the same price.
@wasgaming79328 ай бұрын
@@OffMetaMusings You dont always have to take Pock......Im saying you can use Haskel + dogs as a cheap chaff package if the only reason you were taking Kixi was to fill out numbers. You get three bodies for 235 with Haskel vs Kixi which is 3 bodies for 270

Very true. But Pock is Pock ;)

Are the only allies heroes? I cant find any regular fighters with the ally symbol
@OffMetaMusingsАй бұрын
There are very few actual 'ally runemark' allies. They mostly belong to destruction (the gobbapalooza) so allies for other grand alliances are all going to be heroes

What are your thoughts on the Bloodwrack medusa?
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
Medusa is great, if VERY EXPENSIVE to actually buy in real world money. Wargames on Toast took it to Warhammer World the other week and it did wonders for him; Used in a similar way to the Mindstealer Sphiranx where its a fast big damage fighter that also has a bunch of disruption abilities. We were talking after the event and both agreed that putting +1 base damage on it to make the fighter a 4/4/4/5 would be VERY consistent and a real combat threat to mostly anything on the board.

@@OffMetaMusings thanks for answering, lucky for me, I got one cheap second hand that I'm just finishing up painting so looking forward to trying it out!

Fantastic video, thanks for this. I feel the Lumineth High Sentinel or Myari Lightcaller are underrated, they can pick any enemy within 18" and add one to any attack action that targets that enemy fighter. Is there a reason these models don't see play compared to fight for profit?
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
Fight for Profit as an ability is far more versatile then Sharp-Eyed Scryhawk and arguably easier to use; at the very least it's adding a bonus attack to everything in 3" that can target different fighters as opposed to just the one, and at best it's netting double the amount of attacks vs the Lumineth fighters. Also if you want to compare the cheapest versions of those abilities (Company Captain vs High Sentinel); They are both 90 points but the captain has an additional 4 wounds, point of strength and the shooting attack over the Sentinel's M5.
@combo5548 ай бұрын
@@OffMetaMusings Amazing, thanks for the in-depth reply. Definitely hear you on the stats. I still think there's a place for focus firing with a scryhawk if you have a number of ranged threats. A pock and hexbane with an extra attack each for instance could swing a game.
@OffMetaMusings8 ай бұрын
The BIG advantage ofcourse over FFP is that it works on anyone, anywhere so you have the option to have your scryhawk actually go places or be in other deployment groups.
