Completed this over the weekend. The Lego Venator was one of the most dissapointing sets once I had completed it. It's sat on a high shelf gathering dust for a few years. But not any more. Some really clever techniques that work a treat. Looks great when finished and it can be done from this tutorial. Go for it. Very impressed with Alternate Bricks.

Bro you are INCREDIBLE. I have been thinking about this set for ages, and have been avoiding it because I just think it looks too much like a kids set, and so ugly. I am now 100% buying it, all because of you. I am so happy I nearly don't have words. I love the Clone Wars era but have never been able to get the Venator because of this glaring model. Now I can get this and have a Venator-Class, Imperial-Class and a Resurgence-Class Star Destroyer all next to each other on my shelf!! 😆😆 Your are doing God's work bro, and you should open a Patreon. Thank you so much for this! The build is much more sturdy and clean with the gaping holes eliminated. Some very clever techniques used in this build. Well done! :D Notes for those attempting this: - It took me 4 -5 hours to convert the original to this. - Getting the 'flaps' into the correct position is challenging; persevere and I'm sure you'll get it. - This model sacrifices playability quite considerably to achieve this design (more so than I anticipated) Have fun building - I know I did! :D

Dude this is amazing!! Just finished modifying mine and it looks so much better! Just one thing, I had problems closing the front hull at the end, so I replaced the ratcheted joints with some normal hinge-clips, and now it's perfect. Man, I dreamed of doing something like this everytime I looked at it, but I wouldn't have had the skills to do it. Figuring this mod out must have been so much work for you.

I would absolutely love to see an Arquitens-class Light Cruiser either as a MOC or modified set (perhaps 7964? The engine housing seems similar) from you, similar to the one on eurobricks from way back in 2011; the Arquitens and the Venator are hands-down my favorite ships in the star wars universe and I'd buy your version of the Arquitens in a heartbeat! Lovely work on the Venator, my fleet is going to be looking much spiffier thanks to you.

Just finished doin this mod with my son and it’s a lot better looking now. . Still a few gaps here and there but very easily fixed. My Venator no longer looks like a boot . Thanks for posting this video, really useful. Hopefully Lego release a Venator at some stage. Ucs one would be most welcome 👍

Great modifications, I went a bit further and added greebling between the upper and lower hull. The lower plate is much stronger than before and doesn't have the flex. I removed the interior completely. If you ever have a chance you should look at the AT-ST walker and see if you can get a more realistic leg movement. Keep up the good work.

This is amazing! I've always agreed that the size is very weird for this set and I am so glad seeing this done! It's always scared me away from the set but now I'm considering buying this set. I personally think if you modify any other ship it should be the standard falcon. It could be either set the 2011 or 2015 one because they have the problem with the front "wing" parts and cockpit is disproportionate and there are a couple minor details that could be fixed. Anyways hope you think about this and keep up the great content.
